It seems as if many candidates these days know how to present idea's, but never talk about how to do it.

I am acquainted with a young man who spend time in a prison. He once told me that many of the criminals are overjoyed to see more gun control because it means they can commit crimes and not fear reprisals.

This only reinforces my opinion that the tighter the gun control, the less chance the honest citizen has to defend himself.

Not to mention the burdens this puts on us hunters.

No politicians have any actual INTENT to take guns from anyone. They just use it as a political issue knowing that it will appeal to certain voters, and yet knowing that they'll never actually be in a position where they have to implement such a policy. Pure political bull**it

The excess guns will most likely be used by police, given to the military, or melted for scrap metal.

I need to disagree with Rufus - pols can and do impact the gun-owning citizen: Clinton the First comes to mind, with his ''Scary-Looking Gun ban''.
