The school is going to observe whoever has legal guardianship. Your gmother can't do that w/o going to court, and no court is going to transfer guardianship to an 18 yo. Wait it out and you'll be able to live wherever you want.

your permanant address needs to be where your grandma lives...and you can live wherever you and your girlfriend want....but you need to be smart and not do anything illegal like getting caught for curfew, alcohol, etc. because it will all come back on your grandma until you're 18 years of age and a legal adult. Technically your grandma would still be liable for anything you would do.

Okay . . . generally, you, grandma and your friend have to go to court to make changes like this, especially to satisfy your school.

(One question: Why in heaven's name would you want to live with someone who's barely out of childhood themselves?? Your grandma has all that experience and love for you!)

Every state has a different age limit for being out on their own. Double check with your state. If it's ok then get a copy of the Law and take it to the school.

I don't think an 18 year old can take care of them self or you. I doubt this is advisable or legal.

Have your friend move in and take care of you and grandma..this just might work!

I don't think the school should have anything to do with this. If your guardian says its ok and you are attending school and not getting into police trouble.

Yeah sure, go live with your friend. It's legal.

16 is the legal age to move out and live independantly?
