Everyday, we hear on the news about people being killed and so on. Especially in London, people are killed every now and then. Is Capital Punishment really the solution to this issue? What are your suggestions? Should it be re-introduced or not?

My friend has the same problem as the rest of us, money. His needs are far worse than mine. I have a wife with a job. He's alone and scared. He got a letter from the state denying his request for assisatnce until he satisfies some red tape needs of theirs, which could take months. In the meantime, rents due 1-1-2008, and some food would be nice. I sent him toward the legal aid society, which he was unaware of. He's not a lazy person. He's 55 and has a BS in chemical engineering. He's been turned down for employment by 100 companies, mainly because of that double nickel.

He's in Ohio. What other things can he do?

Does his fame play a part of the sentence? Some people say that an average person of the street would not have been judged so harshly for dog fighting. However, there are other charges against him ..... lying .... drugs .... etc.

On December 10, 2007 I was driving south on us hwy 19 exiting off the East Bay exit. To where I proceeded to move into the far right lane with turn signal on, I was about half way past the 1986 Volvo when she proceeded to move without a turn signal I in turn beeped to let her know I was there and sped up to avoid getting hit. After turning on to East Bay the 1986 Volvo pulled up beside me and threw something at my window (which left a scratch on my car) and proceeded to try to speed off. I accelerated to get in front of her and tell her to pull over. As I pulled in front of her the car in front of me braked and then I braked. Upon braking the 1986 Volvo rear ended me not once but twice. She hit me and I pulled forward a few and she again hit me. We were in the center lane so I pulled off to the side of the road and she followed but pulled in front of me. As I exited my car a girl who claimed to be her friend got in my face and was yelling at me. I told the girl to back out of my face

In Australia today there has been a lot of publicity about a ten year old aboriginal girl who was raped by 9 males in an aboriginal community. The offenders pleaded guilty, but none received a custodial sentence. Is anyone out there as disgusted as me with this situation? I cannot believe that this type of activity is not treated as the most serious of issues requiring strict punishment ... how desensitised to this type of disgraceful behaviour can we get, and what would be an appropriate sentence for them?

Let's say they did something bad. But they didn't kill anyone. Would you turn them in to the authorities?

I don't think I could ever betray my family like that no matter how bad their crime was. I would implore them to turn themselves in if it were really bad though.

What's more important: justice or family?

Last Nov 29 Trillanes and Lim took control of The Peninsula Manila, after walking out of the halls of the Makati RTC. Asking for the support of the Filipino people, they demanded for the ouster of President Arroyo. The conflict was resolved by goverment forces after a few hours. The country was once again in the limelight and embassy advisories came out left and right, telling their citizens to be vigilant and stay away from large gatherings. Today the group faced the court again under heavy guard from the police and military. They apologized for what they did last nov 29.
