There is discussion about legalising the possession of cannabis from time to time, with an experiment a few years back to relax the law considerably, with the result that there was a dramatic increase in cannabis possession in the UK, but the provisions of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 which make it illegal to be in possession of cannabis whether at home or elsewhere are still in force. If you are not allowed to be in possession of it, then you are clearly not allowed to smoke it. It is also an offence to drive with it in your bloodstream, as it will affect your driving performance. The laws have been relaxed as far as possession is concerned, but they are still in existence. This is the current position. http://www.cps.gov.uk/london/advice_for_professionals/serious_casework_circulars/cannabis_prosecutions/

No it's not legal to cultivate, possess or use cannabis in the UK. It is currently a class C drug but move are being made to re-classify it back to class B.
Somebody on this site suggested you could grow it to a certain height. This is nonsense, when seized by the police, it has to be photographed for evidence, even the authorities are not allowed to keep the plants alive by watering as it's seen as 'cultivating'.

Hello Cat
It is not legal in the UK. The police in some areas have decided not to prosecute individuals who have a very small amount which is clearly for personal use only, but there is no guarantee you would not be arrested as it is still illegal. Anything that involves buying, selling, growing, supplying or storing cannabis is also illegal and would make you liable to be arrested.

Many places all over the world are seeing it decriminalized which is a whole different beast that can mean varying degrees of legality. Generally laws of that nature make it OK for adults of a certain age to possess a certain small amount without legal recourse. You still can't walk down the street taking bong rips though. I haven't heard of the UK adopting any laws of this nature though.

legal bud is in basic terms hemp, which Im useful you already know is in basic terms marijuana with an extremely low thc content cloth, meaning that smoking it is going to do not something because of the fact there is not any thc, that's the energetic element that makes human beings intense. useful curiously in basic terms like it, yet its thoroughly ineffective. I dont understand what you advise with the help of legal bud, because of the fact there is not any bud it somewhat is legal interior the USA, federal regulation says its unlawful. What i concept you meant replaced into bud which you notice in magazines like intense cases, that's hemp, not different flowers not grass, not lettuce. that's ineffective in case you're attempting to get intense, yet may well be used industrially for many stuff. And for the female that went on approximately how its a conspiracy, that's, yet that wasnt the question.

I understood that the police were only giving warnings for small amounts of cannabis. Obviously a large amount would land you in trouble as a dealer.
Make sure first!!!

No it is not legal to smoke cannabis even if on medical grounds. But you can be prescribed cannabis in medical trials via other forms of medication like tablets etc. But no, it is not legal in any form yet (even for smoking) - just in medical trials. And just as an added note - no it has not been decriminalised in the UK.

Yes, in small doses as i stated in that particular question.
You are allowed a cannabis plant but it must not reach a certain height, you are not allowed to own large amounts of cannabis but in small bags such as money bags you are allowed.. only 1-2 at a time though.

it's not legal but your unlikely to be prosecuted as long as you only have a small amount on you,
it's normal just to receive a caution

Possesion is legal but dealing is a crime. Owning more than twenty pounds will have you classed as a dealer.
