Hey everyone,

Ok, so I'm going to go into a respiratory therapy program soon, and I just got put onto diversion for a domestic battery ordeal, (me and my boyfriend got into a fight, got arrested, and basically were pushed into the diversion program). Anyways, my question is this... the program states that if the clinical sites do a background check and won't let you work there because of something they find, you get dismissed from the program since you can not complete your clinicals. Does anyone know if a diversion program like this would stop a site from letting me do my clinicals there, or if it shows up on a background check at all? Anyone gone through something similar? Any help would be appreciated, I don't want to get half way through the program and get dismissed. Thanks!

I wanna know if you have any right to refuse medical treatment at the age of 15. I don't see why not. Why treat against someone's will?

There is a statute in GA law that allows for third party testimony if they know from first hand experience or knowledge, meaning: if I know the victim and they told me that something happened, I can testify to that as I was told directly from the victim. But, let's say the victim tells my friend something and they come back and tell me, I cannot testify to that because I did not hear it firsthand from them.

Does this apply to police officers asking the judge to grant a warrant?

I'm asking because this is what happened to my husband. There was a police officer that asked someone who had talked to the "supposed victim" and they said that they told them something. The person shared this information with the police officer, but the police officer never heard it directly from the "supposed victim."

Was it legal for that police officer to sign a sworn affidavit attesting the fact that he knew from his own personal knowledge that a crime occurred, when he was never told this by the victim

I bought jewelries and had them shipped to USPS by tracking #. The tracking # said that it was delivered but I never received the package. I have contacted USPS by email and they asked informations about my package. One thing that confused me, why did they send it to an address that completely different with mine? Actually, I'm from Asian country. I came to USA about 3 months ago. And I don't speak English well, so I contacted them by email instead of by phone. I don't know how the law works here. Could someone tell me please what should I do? I've visited the address that appear on the Proof of Delivery that USPS gave me, just say it Mr. Rickhard who live there. And the resident said there's no Mr. Rickhard. I just don't know how I can get my package.

A certain website is providing supposedly free games that really are not free. If you get free spins, your credits are used. If you do not have enough credits, you do not get your free spins or what you may have won.

The defendant could not be reached. The court records state "summons not served". The case, at this point in time, is listed as "open". I assume that it is the plantiff's responsibility to continue to attempt to locate the defendant. If the defendant can not be located, how long can the case remain "open"? And what will be the eventual outcome?

My brother is a police officer (outside USA) and is asking me to buy a holster for him. It is a lot cheaper to buy the holster here in the US. I do not know if it is legal to buy a holster even without a gun license. If so, what law will protect me? I do not want to get in trouble with the government.

Is what these detectives are doing to bust cheaters in the act actually legal. Wouldn't spying on people with hidden cameras be an invasion of privacy. On one episode the guy on cheaters ordered a pizza to this one guys house to gain entry. Then they came in demanding answers. How is this legal. How do they get around privacy laws without being sued. I would also think that what they are doing is dangerous, what happens if the guy pulls out a gun or something.

I am sort of paranoid about this.

Recently I applied for a job. Though I gave them an application they required me to write my SS# on a separate piece of paper so they could do a backround check. The manager was busy, it was a small place though-not many people, and the manager told me to leave it on the counter. Stupidly, I left it on a hidden part of the counter though I should have made sure the manager had gotten it.

Now I am frustrated with how stupid I was and know I should have not just left it there but personally handed it to the manager. I'm afraid that someone saw it or recorded it.

Can someone give me your opinion?

Okay everyone thinks what he did was wrong, but our country has by far more people imprisoned than any other country in the world.
Michael Vick, lost his job, the NFL is asking for $20 million dollars back, he is going to jail for a couple of years, a fine, then he is on probation for a couple of years, can't vote, ended his NFL carer forever, millions in legal fees.
Additionally, he faces State charges for the same crime and may do additional jail time for that. One crime two prosecutions state and federal and no double jeopardy.
It seems too much!!

Since I just came to the private school. My door has been broken, so I asked the authority to fix it. But it took about a month to get fixed and I had been stolen a lot because of the problem. They fixed it too late. Moreover, they didn't fix it well, because If someone push the door it gets opened even though it is locked. So funny. Then, more things have been stolen Total: About 400 bucks
