Is what these detectives are doing to bust cheaters in the act actually legal. Wouldn't spying on people with hidden cameras be an invasion of privacy. On one episode the guy on cheaters ordered a pizza to this one guys house to gain entry. Then they came in demanding answers. How is this legal. How do they get around privacy laws without being sued. I would also think that what they are doing is dangerous, what happens if the guy pulls out a gun or something.

It's legal because they're a private company - a lot of what they do would be illegal if done by the cops.

And the reason they can show faces - believe it or not - is that these low-lifes "do" consent just to see themselves on TV.

They must get a signed release to show faces or last name sometimes the cheater is smart enough not to sign the papers but for some reason there are stupid ones that do.

What they do is within Texas law. Notice that they blur out faces and license plates of individuals who do not want to be part of the show.
