I had a breast augmentation done, durning the process my lung was nicked. It collapsed according to the doctor about two hours after surgery. He called in all sorts of doctors to fix the lung. I had a chest tube put in, and woke up in ICU a few days later not knowing what when on. It took the last day of my hospital stay, which was one week and one day, to get the doctor to actually tell me what happened. I still don't believe his version. I would like to know if there are grounds to sue. I am still having problems, I was sent home with an oxygen machine and 4 tanks of oxygen. Is this a botch job?? I don't understand how my lung can get knicked during this proceedure. There are too many things in between to go through the ribs and such to knick my lung. Are there grounds and what do I do?? Not to mention they are not the same size. The left is noticably bigger than the right. And I still have a lot of pain. It's only been since Oct. 15th of this year.

Why do people do it ecpecially if its a small crime. Apart from pressure or a major reduce of year why would you plead guilty if you know you didnt commit the crime?

WAYS TO BE A GOOD DEMOCRAT

1. You have to be against capital punishment, but support abortion on demand.

2. You have to believe that businesses create oppression and governments create prosperity.

3. You have to believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans are more of a threat than U.S. nuclear weapons technology in the hands of Chinese and North Korean communists.

4. You have to believe that there was no art before Federal funding.

5. You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by documented cyclical changes in the earth's climate and more affected by soccer moms driving SUV's.

6. You have to believe that gender roles are artificial but being homosexual is natural.

7. You have to believe that the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal funding.

8. You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach fourth graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.

etc., etc. and a bunch more nonsense.

Sharia Law seems to be a nonsensical set of rules based not on morals but on speculative judgements based on the Koran. The Koran is obviously a text written in a historical context (percentiley by clinically mad and drug addled, however also with some input from normal people) - How can any procedures built in this historical context be relevant morally or legally?

Particularly though I would like some explanations of why it is in practice in multifaith countries (aren't all countries multifaith?)?

Thanks

I live in PA and in Aug. 05, I had sold a car for $600 and regretfully I accepted a personal check. The check bounced and the person fled the state.
I checked with the local magistrate and went through the bad check form process but kept on getting it denied because the D.A. didn't like to put exactly what was wrong with it.
So I sent out about 3-4 letters out to her old address in PA and nothing has happened ever since.

They also told me that there is a 2 year time limit to file charges--it is beyond that now and I moved about 5 hours away from that area.

Does anyone know if a lawyer can still help because recently I found out she was back in PA and I found out that she can possibly go to jail and pay back 3 times the amount of the check.

Do I still have time--does anyone in the legal field know?

Ok, I'm writing a paper about the pros and cons of Plea Bargaining. I know the pros and cons in my head, but trying to write them out on paper is another thing (Especially when I need 10 pages worth).

I will vote the best answer to this question based on:

*Whoever can provide the most straight-forward list of pros and cons to plea bargaining.

Sounds simple enough, but I stress - I don't want to have to read a 5 page article to find these points. I want each seperate point staring me right in the face, from the get-go. I can easily write about why/how/examples that backup each pro or con myself. I just need to gather my arguments and get them orgainzed before I start my paper.

You can make the list yourself, or link me to a site that has them clearly laid out.

***Here's how I'd PREFER (not neccessary though) to have the points categorized:

Pros to the Defendant
Pros to the criminal justice system

Cons to the Defendant
Cons to the criminal justice system

Thx!

...be they guilty of their crimes or otherwise, who were sentenced before the current 'spit-lifting' methods of the police. Knew a prison warder who used to work at a midland jail for prisoners serving over five years...apparently the main moan from half the cons were that they were 'set up'.
The family of the girl, Jacqueline Marie Thomas, who was only 15 must be beside themselves with expectation, realising peace is days away now, if the man charged in the right one...but it would be good to realise DNA can not only bring peace to families who for years have had to experience pain - but also the wrongly sentenced...okay, a section of the UK press would rather keep silent on what they might see as another 'advantage to exercise prisoners rights', but this can help investigators solve old cases...not only for the joys of victims families - or the perverse sexing-up skills of the populist press - but cons who are punished for not 'owning up' to their 'crime'.

my mother recently passed. i found out that she was prescribed 412 pills in the 2 previous days prior. 180 were methadones.considering it is one of the leading killers,180 at a time is insane. toxicology report isn't completed, but out of the 412 pills, only 21 remain. there were 4 different prescriptions in 2 days. my dad died of a methadone overdose. both parents had the same doctor, methadone was the last medication for both and both died less than 24 hours after being prescribed methadone. lawyer i spoke with said i can't hold doctor liable if there was an overdose.

get lost, you're not getting money and aid off us?

At the end of the day, what could we have done with the money? Kept more schools open, better NHS? What have other countries given to us for the floods? Time to shut the door on them all. I never give to oversea causes and never will.

Now i make a right turn at this intersection every single day to get on the freeway to get home. So one day im making the right turn as usual. I slow down, Look to my left, see no cars coming from my left, and no cars ahead of me making a left turn. So naturally i thought, its safe to go (i've made this right turn the same way for months now, with no incidents.) As i made my right turn, i see a flash, but think nothing of it. A month later, i recieve the violation letter with the photographs of my car. Informing me that i had not come to a complete stop at the right turn. The ticket is a hefty 381 dollars. I didnt run a red light. All i did was a rolling stop before the right turn, which im positive i've done before without incident (but there is no way to prove it) My question is, is there a way to appeal this ticket? Also is not coming to a complete stop really $381 or is lockheed martin running a number on me? btw this is in SoCal, City of Commerce to be specific. thanks.

If so you may be sowing the seeds of your own destruction. The Chinese are spending much more on "defense" than is currently warranted. I am sure that they have a master plan that involves geographical expansion and we are helping them along by purchasing their products. Just a nation of sheep quietly being shorn. I stopped whistling past the graveyard a few years ago. Anyone agree with me? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071129/ap_on_re_as/china_us_navy

Her daughter is only four years old. Both my friend and her ex boyfriend are pissed at the new girlfriend. Just wondering if this was actually illegal? Thanks!
