I already tried lawguru.com, but they never give me a concrete answer. Are there any similar sites?

Try the source link I posted below. I have used that site with success. Some who have answered my questions indicated they were retired lawyers and retired judges! This service is similar to the free initial consultation that some lawyers offer. It helps you determine if you need to take legal action or not. Just don't expect them to solve your legal problem for free online.

To post your question for free advice, click on the LAW FORUM link in the upper right hand corner and then click on the category for your question.

You're NEVER going to get a "concrete answer" beyond general legal information from a lawyer over a website.

That's because it's a violation of the rules of professional conduct for a lawyer to give "legal advice" to anyone with whom he does not have an attorney client relationship.

If you ask "What does the law say about so-and-so?", a lawyer can explain the law to you, but if you ask "I did this and that, and now what should I do?", that would be "legal advice", and therefore improper for a lawyer to answer specifically.

Anyone who gives you situation specific legal advice, as opposed to general information, on a website either isn't a lawyer at all, whatever he may claim, or he's a really bad lawyer and should know better.

The lawyer's office. No lawyer is going to give you legal advice over the internet. Many sites have places where you can ask questions and lawyers will explain the law, but they will not practice law there.

Hiring a lawyer for minor legal problems can be expensive, but there are websites like LawGuru, FindLaw and other places where you can get free legal advice. I found this website useful - http://www.uelp.org/freelegal.html

A good one is" World Law Direct"......they have a free advice section and another section that is very inexpensive
They will even answer your questions with the state statues, if you need them.
