From previous research, some citizens felt if they were prohibited from committing this act, it would be a violation of their "rights." Others, however, believed burning the U.S. flag is a demonstration of non-patriotism.

Based on your knowledge, how do you feel about this and more importantly, why?

In our left-wing city of Windsor, Ontario, parking meters can be found on many streets, in addition to governmental parking lots. While the average joe parking his car in the lot must place a few quarters in the machine, all of the handicapped spaces have no meters to be found; that is, giving them free parking. Any opinions on this? 10 pts., as always!

I live in Irving, Texas and I want to know: is a spring assisted knife considered a switchblade?

-If you don't already know, "switchblades" have many terms and meanings depending on where you live, and in Texas, its legal to possess one but illegal to carry.
-Spring assisted knives are knives with a thumb or index finger stub to "push" out the blade and flick of the wrist will pull the rest out and lock it in place or it will go all the way by its self.

So, can I carry a spring assisted knife?

I asked this question before, and nobody knew!
If you owe a debt, like you borrowed money from a loan company and could'nt pay it back, for whatever reason, and then they sued you for it, and you had to go to court, can the judge throw you in jail? I watched this movie with "Kathy Bates
staring in it, I forgot the name, but it was about this couple with kids that owed a store lots of money they had been chargeing on a tab, and they could'nt pay it all right back, so they went to jail( this was in the 20's or 30's by the way) and there kids all tooken away, then someone did something about it, and passed a law that you could'nt go to jail for thing's like oweing money anymore, but I heard they can throw you in jail if the debt is large enough. Any clue?

I had an interview for rent-a-center Oct 4. The next day Oct 5 the manager called me and asked me if I would take a drug test . So I went and took one that day. He had also told me that my background and DMV check came back good. Its now Oct 10. I called the manager today and he told me the results werent in yet. So I decided to call the lab where they sent the specimen and they told me that Rent-a-Center received the results the same day I took the test. What I would like to know is how long drug test results take and is it possible that they are lying about having the results because they know longer want to hire me? I also do not use drugs so that is not a concern. Thanks for your answers!!!

For almost a year now I have owned a class 3a green laser pointer. I know I'm not supposed to shine it at other people, at other vehicles, or at aircraft. What I like to do is shine it at reflective street signs. Some of these signs reflect the beam really well (especially at night). I searched the internet regarding laser laws but could not find and law prohibiting usage on signs. Does anyone know of a law (if any) that exists pertaining to the illegal use of lasers on public signage?

because the main goal for the murderer was to kill the victim, and whether the victim survived or not has nothing to do with the murderer.....yet in most cases which the victim survives, the criminal gets lighter sentences than when compared to if the victim dies.........

do you agree or disagree? and why?

thank you

I came accross the following sites:

plasmatvbuyingguide.com
lcdtvbuyingguide.com
dlptvreviews.com

All those sites point to the same 3 web sites:
DTVCity.com
DTVExpress.com
PlasmaDepot.com

Which the same company owns all three of those sites.

I know someone who worked there and they say that all the reviews are fake. That they position reviews to make what they carry sound better than it really is while making products they don't carry or have a lower margin in sound bad.

The main thing that chaps my hide is that they say the are independant and unbaised. The truth is exactly the opisite.

So here is the question.... While I know that it's ethically and morally bankrupt to say such things is it illegal? And couldn't anyone that ever bought from them turn arround and sue them for making false claims and missleading statements?

I am one of 5 benificiaries of my deceased dads estate; and while browsing the unclaimed $ site all my siblings were listed. I am well over the age of a minor & believe for the most part something fishy is going on. After the contesting of my dads estate in 2000 there has been no further information made available to me. My portion as well as another sibling are to be kept in trust for two more years. My father warned me to be careful regarding what was left to me. I am in no position to hire an attorney. Is there anyway I can research the distribution of my fathers estate on my own?

ok, they arrested my father after my 911 call on sept 22nd . Today it's october 10th .
[ what happened ? My father came after me with a knife , tried to threaten me like the way he has been since my memory serves . I didn't go along with his abusive , violent nature . So now i am isolated from the family ]

My father and mother went to see a lawyer already . I am worried if i am late to call up a lawyer and do the "legal stuff " so called ?

I was laid back for a week . I am starting my new job tomorrow . What should i do ? By the way are lawyers free .who I can call ? Will the police department have information on lawyers and stuff ?

A young man (about 24 at the time) committed rape on a 22 year old woman. He served his time, got into recovery for alcoholism, got married and has a child. He works 40+hrs a week and maintains a safe environment for his family.
Now...because he is a "register sex offender" (for rape NOT pedophilia) he is being banned from his child's school functions. Is this fair? Would it make a difference if he served time for "murder" instead of rape, would he be allowed to come to his child's school?
I would like adult and mature answers please, this is a true story that is going on right now.
FYI: It's NOT my family though...
