Yes...healthcare, like food, is not a right that everybody gets for free because they need it.

The poor are not completely with out medical care because no one can be turned away from a hospital. For what it is worth I am one of our nations elderly and I am not in favor of government ran health care for one thing I have never seen a government ran program that didn't become a money pit. I get a social security check and it helps pay the bills but it is one of the poorest investments I made, I often wish that the government would have made me take that money and invested it because based on what my IRA has done I would be on top of the world to-day. No I am not one of the so called wealthy I was just an average working guy

Yes, in one way or another it has to be paid for. The people who work in health care all deserve to make a good living, and the supplies and drugs used all cost something to manufacture and develop. If a person, regardless of their socioeconomic status, requires emergency care it is given to them. Also, many providers and hospitals will work with people who are willing to make reasonable and regular payments.

It's not like there's a viable alternative. If you have free market health care, you pay for the health care you get. If you have insurance, you pay for the health care you might need later. If you have socialized medicine, you pay for everyones health care.

Unless health care is provided by slaves, it's being paid for. (Heck, even slaves have upkeep - and depreciate over time).

Absolutely. It's a service provided by other people, people who need to make a living.

Just like it's right that we pay for food, water, housing, electricity, etc.

Survival of the fittest.
Other than the elderly. Most of the elderly served their country and deserve to be taken care of.

Obviously not.
Many countries around the world have a free health care system.
It's time for a rich country like the US to follow those countries and treat its citizens with more respect.
