Yes, it should be 18. You are either fully a citizen or you're not. It's insane that persons from 18 to 20 are treated as "almost" citizens, expected to fight and die for this country, to pay taxes, able to marry, procreate, buy and sell property, but are NOT deemed responsible enough to imbibe.

people who're 21 can not incorporate themselves whilst they drink, what makes you think of an 18 year old is gonna have the brains to incorporate themselves. this is going to basically mean greater deaths on the highways. I submit to in innovations whilst Wyoming's eating age replace into 19 (1984) and all of the states have been already 21. the government threatened to eliminate thousands and thousands of greenbacks in highway restoration if Wyoming did no longer up the age. They did. i replace right into a bartender at that factor and it actually replaced over evening. And so did the DUIs and vehicle injuries. i comprehend lots of underage teenagers drink, yet making it legal can not remedy something. reliable poll by employing the way.

They made the legal age to 21 because that is when your body stops growing. Eighteen, your brain is still developing. At 18 I felt mature and fully developed. Now, 40, I look back to an 18 year old and see a young person.

I really think the drinking age should NOT be lowered to 18. It would mean more accidents, drunken driving, etc
As a matter of fact, If I was making the ultimate decisions, I would make the drinking age ever higher! yes, you read it right. I would raise the drinking age to 25+
Are 21 year olds really responsible these days? not at all.

If you can be given a gun and forced to kill people in a foreign country then why can't you drink? No one, regardless off age, is a responsible driver when drunk. I see no reason not to lower the legal age to 18.

I’ll make it simple, my graduating class of only 500 had many party’s the night of graduation.
Out of the 500 hundred kids the ages where between 17-19 years old. We had 31 kids die that night all in drunk driving accidents. out of 500 kids only 469 can go on and live there lives. No on lowering the age limit.

No, because then people might think other age limitations should be lowered. Things should be kept the way they are or people will just keep asking for more and more. Remember: you give them and inch and they take a mile.
