The child, whom I never see, is not biologically mine, although i took responsibility for her when she was born. Now,16, she has dropped out of school and got herself pregnant. Am I still responsible for her?

In 2004 a copy of my Driver's License, Social Security card and Birth certificate were stolen from the outgoing mailbox at my apartment complex and so I put a fraud alert on my credit reports.

3 years later (now), I recieved a copy of my credit report and it has an apartment listed in my name that I've never rented before. I contacted the collection agency to dispute this. I told them that I've been at my current address for over 4 years and have rental documents to prove it. He said that being able to prove where I've lived over the past 4 years doesn't mean anything because people have many different addresses.

I've disputed this with all 3 credit bureaus as well. My question is how can I prove that I did not lease this apartment. The rental contract that was mailed to me has ALL of my information regarding my employement, emergency contact info and current address on it. The signature even looks exactly like mine.

two people live together one moves out. leaves some of there property behind on a temporary basis. by michigan law how long does the other have to store someone's property before it becomes there's.

My mother died on May 9th.2006. She had left an inheritance for me & my son. My auntie told me that she had power of attorney over my inheritance. She said that I can't get my inheritance because it was set aside to purchase a house for my son & I. I still have no house. Now she said (16 months later) that I can't have my money because she felt that I would spend the money foolishly. I did recieve 60,000. in seperatate installments throughout the 16 months since my mom past away. I don't even know how much my mom left me but I heard it was 60% to me since I was her only child, 30% to my son & 10% to my aunt who has control of the money. I was not present for the reading of the will. In fact I'm not allowed to know anything besides what she tells me. I never seen any paperwork or reciepts. My aunt also said that if I even think about going legal with this matter & try to challenge her that I would be cut out of the will completely & get nothing. She said my mom wanted it this way.

I had a sear gold card,I pay off all I own 647$ But they charge me 39.00 because they say I was late for one day to pay this bill.I wrote letter to chanlenge their decision.They don't respons my letter and continue charge late fee.I have to close my account and sent back the card,they contiue charge late fee.Four month pass by I end up own then 131 dollors.How can i fight for this unjust?

Ok so I know a wholesale food distribituter that is doing bad things. They are rubbing expiration dates off of products, selling expired canned items, telling people that the expiration date is actually the date the product was made and that it is still good. They even tell their customers sometimes that the product was labeled with the wrong expiration date. They will even sell dented cans to people at a really low price. So, how would I report this without them knowing I was the one that reported it?

I did a one time authorization to "X" Satellite Provider with my debit card, on spouse's account, my name not on contract with provider. Spouse got behind on bill, and "X" went back to my debit card for the amount. Spouse is not on my checking account, never has been. We are in Texas, and "X" company refused to reverse charges. My bank states this will be fraudulent activity, but my concern is that I did authorize a one-time transaction.. I have filed police report, and fraud report from bank. How long does it usually take to free up my account, and what right did "X" have to debit my account of which I am sole owner? Spouse has only survivorship on bank account.
Also, "X" states that since we are married, I am responsible for his account, therefore assuming that my sole-owned checking account belongs to spouse.

I would really appreciate any advise from someone whose been in the situation, or deals with employment law.
I travelled to London, from Glasgow this week on business.
My normal working day is 9.30am-5.30pm.
However, I had to check in @ 6.00am (for my flight to London at 7.00am), and on the return my flight was delayed by quite a bit, and I did not land until nearly midnight on Tuesday.
(In total I spent 8 hours extra than I was being paid for)
My work advised me I could take "travelling time" back, but only 1 hour, I still had to be in work on Wednesday morning @ 10.30am.

Is this right?
I know that the flight being delayed was not they're fault, but I was still on company business, and so on company time?
Am I entitled to anything?

what recourse does a friend have if she was suppose to be paid weekly in CASH by her boss. She was a bartender at a nightclub. She had no time card or anything to show when she worked. She just worked every weekend all night pretty much. To be honest it was pretty much under the table. She was suppose to claim her taxes on her own. He had no hand in any of that. I doubt he even took her social security number.

Well recently he has kept putting her off for a few weeks. He now owes her 300 dollars and is refusing to pay her. Whenever she goes to pick up the money he conviently forgets and isn't there. Or one time he had the audicty to pretend he didn't see her and drive away. He has since fired her and the only place she can get him is the club which I'm sure she is banned from.

Are there any agencys she could involve that could help her get paid? Or is she out of luck?

In June of 2002 my 14 month-old niece Jasmine Mitchell of Chicago Illinois was murdered by her DCFS licensed baby-sitter, Versie Ramirez-Carr received 15 years for second degree murder and has recently been released 09/27/2007. Now correct me if I'm wrong but she didn't even serve 1/2 of her sentence. This woman had a previous record, probation violations, gun charges and drug charges on her record when she was licensed by the Dept. of Children and Family Services. Now If my sister had known the type of person she was there is no way in hell my niece would have been placed in her care. I want to enact a bill like the amber alert which places her on some kind of offender list, she still has her daycare license through the state of Illinois, who is to say that another child won't be murdered at her hands. I know we cannot bring back Jasmine but our intention is to let her deed be known to everyone, we don't want another family to suffer the as we have. Can anyone offer assistance?

I have been in a juvenile boot camp before and that is why it is so tragic to me. This is nothing new. I was abused and beaten when I was there but was afraid to call the abuse hot line because it put my word against their's and I had already seen them get away with it. Plus if they rule that your claim is fake you get charges added to your record. They sit together and do the reports together to make sure they all have the same stories. These people are and have always been high on power. I have seen a officer stand on a 15 year old boy's head while applying all his weight. I have had my body bent to the point that the back of my ankles touch the back of my head. There is no way that things like this are legal. But they know where all the cameras are and they all work together to protect eachother. It is just sad.

In our local park there is a privately owned bowling club building. Beside it is a strip of land that the Public has used to get from 1 end og the park to the other. They have just fenced this off so it cannot be used anymore. Isn't there some rule that if a bit of land has been used as a footpath for a year and a day it becomes a Public right of way and cannot be blocked off?

Okay so here is the question there are a lot of single mothers out there who are fighting with the system to get child support. (sucks for them) but there are also a lot of men who are on child support and pay faithfully (hard to believe we never hear about them) but I have been doing some research and found that child support takes more than half of your earnings. Should we not have programs designed to help men who are doing their best to be good parents finacially and emotionally. I mean we have them for women. Feedback please just a thought!

I am studing a murder case where an attorney represents a client and leaves him in the dark as to what is happening in the case. I would like to know what are all the discoveries the court would present the private lawyer with, in order for him to build his case. This has to be specific like, Dna, witness statements, ect. (I know there are a few more but am unable to recall.)

I found a police file of someone that's married to someone I know. I found this criminal record on Florida's Dept. of Corrections website, therefore, I would assume this is a public file as do all criminal records. Is it illegal to share this file with anyone including his wife, their friends, their families,etc?

i quit my place of employment a couple of weeks ago. i quit because i was sexually harrased by my supervisor, at the time my company i worked for did nit really care, but now that i have filed for unemployment and a discrimination lawsuit all of a sudden they are calling me back, trying to accomodate me in any way. well, i say to little to late. can they do this call me back after i have quit ,and try to get me back to their comapny? also if they are calling me so much, it is safe to say they are fearful of something right? any anwers would be appreciated

I've had multiple testicular tumors for about 4 years now. I choose to smoke Marijuana to help with the pain, nausea, and stress. Last year my house was raided, cops thought I was a Meth. dealer. A little embarresed to find nothing but my personal stash of weed and a pipe.
I got 1 year probation, 40 hours community service and ordered to treatment after my evaluation. I've done none of it, and have no intentions of doing it either.
They want me to quit smoking weed and drop $350-500 a month on Pharmaceutical Medication with a laundry list of side effects, just to get the same results.
I'm a radio DJ for an active rock station here and have alot of friends and fans who really think I should just get out of Fargo without fighting the system or giving them the satisfaction of taking me down.
My court date is Monday (10/15), to decide my fate. Should I go or get going?
