So, when my dad bought me my first handgun at 14, albeit he kept it in his name and in his posession (although it was mine) he should have been jailed? I like the fact that his dad tried to buy him a rifle but he was a felon and they turned him down, which is correct, and HE should be jailed for violating the law. His mom is a maroon, but should she be formally charged? This is an interesting and touchy subject, I would love to hear your opinions.

You don't have to pay more for a car because you make more money. So why do user fees increase because you make more?

I signed up with Ballys when I started my job over a year ago. I only signed up because it was close to my office. I have since left that job and want to cancel my membership but they will not let me because there is a Ballys near my house. A very gross Ballys in a not so great part of the city. I have explained to them that I did not sign up at that location for those very reasons but they don't care. I haven't even been to the gym in months, basically I'm wasting my money. Is there a solution?

A doctor's decision should not be linked to their profits.
Cartoon example:
A patient overhears a doctors conversation in the waiting room.
The doctor says: "Go ahead "deary" buy that fur coat, we will manage somehow"
A one cent gasoline tax should handle the cost easily.

Other than suing for defamation of character how do you put a stop to this? She is very distraught that she can't get the reference she expected out of them now. She was their top performer and her boss was threatened by her. He is telling employees she was reason for companies current situation - completely untrue.

I guess the second part of the question is - how to distance yourself from that garbage and move on when the lay off and harsh words leave you beat down and paralized?

I'm looking into being a corrections officer...My parents advise me not to however because they get sued constantly by the inmates and risk losing everything. I've never heard of this and you would think there is something in place to prevent that. Any info?

I think it would be a great idea. Think of the money saved on enforcement of a law that will be striked down. Also think of the victims of an unjust law being saved the money, time and hassle of fighing it.
Laws should still be able to be challeged later after a curtain amount of time has passed like 4 years.

Don't give me a stupid answer like 'because the Constitution prohibits it' I get that all the time. The Constitution can be ammended.

How does Al Gore win the Nobel PEACE Prize for his efforts on the environment. Obviously they ignore the fact that he flies a gas guzzling private jet EVERYWHERE he goes. His mansion in Tennesee uses more electricty in a month than the average home does in a year. His 2 other homes aren't energy efficient either. Hmmmm, I thought the PEACE prize was for people who made PEACE, not PCBs! Can anyone clarify this?

it is terrible that every year many underage girls are smuggled into Britain for sex trafficking and underground prostitution. I know that once ensnared they are often beaten, drugged and held captive. But how do the pimps get hold of their victims in the first place? Surely if someone from Albania, or some similair place, wants to emigrate to Britain they would go through the channels of the immigration service? Is it that the criminals pose as officials or employment agents?

Do you think smokeing bud should be legal? i think it should be, but i think there should be rules like you can smoke it certain places and stuff like that.I just do see why it is illigal to smoke it because it's your own choice, if we want to mess up our own minds by using it.If smoking bud is illigal then other thing should be illigal to because you can hurt your self in many ways that arn't even nearly as worse as smoking bud!

My ex and I divorced in 1989. In 1996 she opened a case with DCSS (California) and payment was taken out of my check each payday until she requested to DCSS that my payments be made to her directly and they were until my last child turned 21 in 2001. Well 4 months ago, 11 years later, she decided to go back to DCSS and claim I didn't pay child support for the period I paid her directly. I hired an attorney and was able to prove, with what cancelled checks I was able to find, that I had paid. I had enough proof the lower the amount from $14,000 to $3,500 which angered her off so now she's hired a lawyer and is suing from 1989 to the DCSS filing claiming I paid her nothing. Unfortunately I can't find any cancelled checks. My attorney says If I can't find any proof be prepared to pay $94K. If this goes her way will I be required to sell my house and belongings to pay her?

On Dec. 22, 2006, more than 30 unarmed Haitian civilians, including women and children, were killed by indiscriminate gunfire from United Nations “peacekeeping” forces, reportedly as collective punishment for a massive demonstration days earlier calling for the return of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, who fled the country amid a rebellion.

Film footage recorded by the Haiti Information Project, a humanitarian organization, shows an unidentified man dying as he describes being shot from a circling U.N. helicopter. The group also has video of a teenaged boy shot by U.N. forces, who, before he dies, explains how the U.N. opened fire on unarmed civilians.
