i was falsely arrested on my lunch break a few days ago,on my way to my house as i passed by a neighborhood tire shop to say hi to a friend i was snatched up by the police and the took my down to the precinct for booking my court date was on Tuesday and one of the charges was dropped,one charge is still pending ,meanwhile i have been out on a list concerning my job of persons arrested and i cannot work until i get the disposition letter saying all charges dropped ,so i called unemployment to claim my benefits and they said they will have to do some investigating concerning the case keep in mind i do qualify since i have worked all year its just this stupid charge in the way can they withhold my unemployment checks i mean these are just misdemeanor charges

what actions plinn,the arrested me for nothing me along with my friend and the rest of employee's in the shop,and because of this nonesense i didn't even get my vacation pay

the current charge is for a bb gun that was found on the premises i was standing in the office area when the cops came ,what happened is they had a warrant to search the shop so they took all of us down to the precinct , i dont understand how they can charge me for a crime when i neither worked there or had and idea of a bb gun being there but that case is still pending and i am certain that the charge will be dropped

If you were let go because of something that happened outside work they are going to have a hard time using that as an excuse. When the charges are dropped if you do not get your job back get a lawyer and sue the police, the county, and the employer.

Unemployment may want to look into the matter and if you are eligible, you will be eligible from the date which you first applied. Just sucks cuz' until then you will have no earned income. Hope all goes well and good luck getting the charges dropped and off your record!!

Yes because your job isn't denying your employment. You are losing compensation because of your actions not the companies.

the state can do whatever they want to do....I just went through the whole unemployment thing, and they are saying that I was overpaid and I have to pay them back....be careful.
