So can I sue Yahoo! for theft and copyright infringement?
Yahoo was founded in 1995, and I began yelling out "Yahoo!" after having sex in 1990.
I demand 1.1 Bajillion United States dollars in damages.

I forgot to mention that all my neighbors were able to hear me while having sex, since when I yell it out I have a microphone to my mouth.
Some other people too from different neighborhoods aswell.

No damages can be proved. Yahoo has been around a very long time, I love those Yahoo drinks. In order to have a copy write infringement, you first have to have a copy write. I don't think you every copy writed anything. So You can not sue. But you can whack off. Have at it. Go ahead and hack your goof.

I'm afraid not. Yahoo has rights to the word in this particular context (website and associate branding). The dictionary word "yahoo" is still available to all for non-online usage.
I've been yelling "google" during my intimate moments since 1987. I am also protected.
