The high today was 101 degrees. My friends and I were walking out of the mall, and we saw a bunch of cops and security around a car. When we got closer, it turns out they were trying to get into the car so they could get a dog out that had been left inside. The windows weren't even cracked. I can't even imagine how hot it was INSIDE the car, if it was 101 outside. I can't even breathe when I get inside my car that has been out in the sun! Luckily, they got the dog out, and he is okay. But poor thing!! I can't believe someone would do that.

I have to acknowledge a guy in Forum where I got my post deleted intentionally or otherwise. I agreed with the current policy (maybe rather sarcastically)

I have some interesting takes on the whole gay marriage or not issue. One of the arguments that comes up is that marriage protection laws center around raising children. If this is so, should non reproducing couples be limited to partnership laws or consenting adult laws and denied the protection of marriage in order to preserve it's intended purpose. Please just intelligently answer the question. Thanks.

Is it possible for credit card thieves to somehow generate a CVC2 number, or otherwise obtain the security number without having the physical card in their possesion?

Discover is refusing to cover me for fraudulent charges made to my credit card via the Internet because they claim there is no way possible for the thieves to have the CVC2 number required to make a "card not present" purchase without having the actual card. It must be possible because I did not make these charges, and they must have been made by someone that has stolen my credit card information somehow.

Does anyone have any information about this that would be helpful to me?

I have a squeek, its documented. The previous owner complained too. Its been over 5 years and they have NEVER fixed this problem. They claim they can not find the problem, but they can hear it, which means it could be a safety issue (it's unknown). When is it legal to sue? Or what is my next Step?

This morning on the news they talked about Illinois trying to make it mandatory for people to "shape up or pay up" AND
to "attend church or pay up" something about your paycheck being docked if otherwise. I am a christian woman but I do not believe in forcing people to attend church-you'd think that would cause more violence and church burnings, etc. Also how in the world can employers be allowed to dock your pay for being overweight or with other healt5h issues especially if they dont pay your medical bills or insurance?? One more thing, wouldnt these laws somehow be violating our constitutional rights- Equal rights and separation of Church and State or something???

...In Canada, once you work for your employer for 1 year, you are entitled to 2 weeks paid holidays. Basically it 4% of your income over that year, paid out before or after your holiday.
After working for the same employer 5 years, you're entitled to 3 weeks paid holiday time. After working 10 years, you're entitled to 5 weeks paid holidays.
I've just completed 10 years this summer, so I'm taking 3 weeks now, and 2 weeks at Christmas time. I did live in the States many years ago, and nothing like this existed. Has the US initiated any sort of holiday plan similar to this, on a State or Federal level?

Pretend that there is a couple, a man and a woman who are married. Then one of them gets a sex change, and they decide to stay together. Technically isn't it a gay marriage and isn't it still legal and should be recognized?

I was reading where it happened in 2006, and some of the soldiers are already out. Then he has an interview saying they were going to set up the actual "Insurgent," whom they believed was planting bombs, to make it look like he was doing it again. Instead of doing that, the dogs at his home were barking too much, so they decided to kill his neighbor. Who to this day they don't know who he was. Then the ones charged with murder got unpremeditated murder charges. Here in America if you rob a store, and your partner shoots the cashier and kills him, you both get murder charges. Why is it not that way in the military? They planned to kill someone, but ended up killing someone else, why are they getting off so easy? The most received was 15 yrs, the other are getting 1-8 and then they are getting out early!

I gave my employer 2 weeks write notice and am schudualed to start my job in a new company soon. My employer terminated me early and now I am out of work for half a week which is money I really can't afford to loss. Isn't it the law in Florida for my employer to pay me until my notice day? If so how do i claim it. I also have to state that the reason I am quiting is because my boss said some really racial things and then throw a wad of paper at the back of my head then next day. I'm happy i got a new just, but I feel it is not right what they did. I even told them i really can't afford to miss these few days, but all they said was "oh well" to my face.

i worked for a company that stole thousands of dollars from it's employees every year and i got fired from taking six peices of trim that my boss had given to me to get rid of. i did not get reinburst for the oil changes i paid for on my company truck or on all the material i paid for out of my own pocket even though i had reciepts for everything i brought. this is wrong. do employees have no rights at all. just because we can't afford attorney fee's and the courts always side with businesses.

Since the NSA has our phones tapped, and spys, agents, cells, are all over the place, if i pick up the phone, called someone, spoke of "ammonium nitrate," "fertilizer," "airport", "bomb", "down with america", "i have a weapons stash", "liberal", "operation ****" on the phone, the government would be on me with agents and assassinate me and make it look like an accident? The government is probably tracking the internet, like how china is, and the keep tabs on us. If i picked up the phone, i bet i can have a conversation with an NSA agent. I use to think my brother and cousins were spys, because at restaurents(we us to go alot) they would always go to the bathroom together, probably to relay info..."National Security" ...maybe e coli. in the food is a threat to "national security", so they kidnap the chief, torture him, kill him, make it look like a chopped his hand off while prepairing food...The gov has many bugs to do their spying, there are a lot of bugs where i am...

I offered them $40 and they say they'll take $65. I counter offered $52.50. They said $55 and I replied.

I would've met you 1/2 way between my original offer and the counter offer, but since your ad said "YOU CAN ALSO EMAIL ME WITH OFFERS AND IF ITEM DOES NOT SALE IT WILL SALE TO HIGHEST OFFER"....So since you contacted me, I am left to assume that $40 was the highest offer. There is a thing on ebay called 'reserve price'. When you re-advertise your chest freezer, I suggest you use it."

To which I received, what I would consider, 2 death threats #1 "why don't you come on down to louisville and once you get your face smashed i'll put you in the freezer (for free and ship your *** home in it!) #2 i'll put your little ***** *** in the freezer and ship you back to your mama if your dead when you get there oh well ....."IS THIS FELONY THREAT"? Here is the link to the original ad http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130139296095&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:US:1
