Parricide is the killing of one's parents. Do you think that child abuse should be taken into account at all? If so, how? I disagree with the sentence of life in prison for youths (under 18) when the crime is parricide and they've endured a lifetime of severe abuse. Do you rehabililation and treatment is a better answer?

I'm entering Duke University but I live in MN. One of the issues I'm having is getting credit for some math courses I took at the University of MN. Duke has a policy that if a student takes classes at a different university and those classes count for high school credit then those credits cannot be accepted. However, MN State Statute 120B.14 requires high schools to give credit for any work done by students in higher educational facilities. So, is there any way I can force Duke given this state law to give me credit even though it violates their rules?

I was with two of my girlfriends at TJ Max the other day. (Girl A=stealer, Girl B=was just there. like me) GA had a purse sitting in her cart and was stuffing clothes in it for an attempt to steal it. GB and I knew what was happening but did not take part in it. We just looked at clothes and gave clothes to GA that we thought looked good. So we are about to leave and I notice all of these employees are looking at us funny. So I tell GA that she shouldn't do this and it's not worth it because im sure they know she put stuff in her bag. So we all try to walk out and we all get stopped. GB and I figure we won't get in trouble cuz we didnt take anything. Turns out we're charged with complicity to theft? What does this mean? What will our consequences be? They say we will have a court date. I have been caught stealing shampoo from a grocery store a few months ago. But all we did was pay a fine then. Does this mean I'm screwed? I'm 15 by the way. Thanks for anyone who can help!

I'm thinking of marajuana use by people suffering from medical disorders who would benefit or in the past the banning of alcohol in 30's America. Or any number of petty laws which by and large are ignored by the majority.

The UN drug report found that 16.8% of Canadians smoked pot in the past year, making them criminals in the eye of the law.
Should Canada push stricter penalities on its use and possession (like in the US) or should pot be regulated like alcohol and tobacco (like in Holland)?
What do you think?

My gym is trying to say that I took a **** in the sink in the Men's locker room, because when I went into the locker room, and saw the big steaming hot turd laying in the basin, I (in poor judgement) I left it there for another person to find and report to the front desk. The gym is trying to say that I was the one to **** in the sink due to me being the last one to leave the locker room before it was reported. How do I prove my innocence?

I was shooting a wedding last night and my camera and lens was stolen right out of my bag. I was shooting as a subcontractor, but I think my employer who had a contract with these people should cover the theft under his insurance. This was a $5000 piece of equipment. Also, should I hold the photos as collateral? Is this legal? Any advice?

I have a simple question. My lawyer sent my landlord a demand letter stating that i was injured on his property and due to his negligence. Something that was left hazardous to the tenants for over 7months. But any way, the same day he got the demand letter. He came knocking on my door, and my mom answered and he said to my mom that "he got the letter and that he had went to his attorney and his attorney stated that he could lose everything because of this one incident." Than he said " tell your son just don't sue me for a million dollars because i will lose everything." Should I tell my lawyers about the encounter and what he said to my mom or no? Also why?

I posed a question about child medical insurance. I received an answer that basically said, "If thy cannot afford it, it is their own fault."
Can anybody tell me how a six year old shape up and solve this problem. Or is it that the responder is a total imbecile.

I have heard that some some lawyers have made very good money in divorce law and/or bankruptcy law. They will advertise that they will "do" a divorce or bankruptcy for a few hundred dollars and then many people will call in for their services. I have also heard that divorces and bankruptcies are usually not too complicated. Any information would be great - I may be very misinformed.
