No, I personally believe that we cannot eradicate terrorism and completely eliminate crimes. Why? because of so many ideology and countless radicalism all over the world.
We can but it is only hypothetical, by summoning the wrath of God by sending us the following simultaneously- earthquake, tidal waves as big as building, hurricane,tornados,wirlwind..etc. Only those who are still standing will replenish the earh, just like in the bible but again it is just hypothetical.

Can we eradicate terrorism and completely eliminate crime?
Agree
"We must accept the fact that it is impractical to expect that terrorism can be eradicated any more than we can expect to eliminate crime."
Coddswallop.
Humankind was so violent once upon a time that someone had to teach us, "Thou shalt not kill" - "Huh? Why not? He touched my charriot."
We have come a long way since then.
More than 100 years ago, enemies would loose huge chunks of their land if they lost a war (Texas, New Mexico, California were all part of Mexico before the Alamo).
But in the last century, winner help the loosers become world exporters within a few years (eg. how many "Made in Japan" things do you have around you?)
We are learning more about other cultures, languages, religions and customs. It is through understanding each other and learning to co-exist that terrorism, and even crime, can end.
As long as we see others as a "Them" the "Us" can't trust, we will always have "us vs them" battles.

It is possible to eradicate terrorism and completely eliminate crime.
We have to kill everyone.
The war on terror will last a 100 years, maybe 10,000, hell, maybe to the end of time. The only way to eliminate terror is find the reasons it exists and fix those problems.
All the laws in existence sure hasn't eliminated crime. I'd say it's worse since there are so many different ways then in the distant past when a crime consisted of stealing ones food, or his wife.

Only when ALL members of society are equal and when everything and anything is free, e.g. what would be the point in stealing when you can have what you stole just by asking? Still you could not eradicate crime completely because you would have factors like jealousy which will always be a motive for murder or blackmail.
Terrorism usually occurs when a certain group of people are oppressed, sometimes this oppression leads to fanaticism, the more you want to force them into one direction the more they will try to go in the other.
When most people have abundant water, food, reasonable housing, education for their children, somewhat of a health system, entertainment and they are able to obtain, or have a hope of obtaining the products they desire, they don't have much of a reason to commit crime or resort to terrorism now do they?

Terrorism has been with us since the beginning of time and will be here when the Earth ends. That is why a war on terrorism is so ridiculous! The only thing it is good for is blank checks and corporate welfare!
No we can not! We have one in the white house!
We can try and do what we can about people getting pissed at us! We aren't doing a very good job at that right now!
The biggest terrorist in the world for the past 40 years has been the CIA!!

i agree. crime wreeks evolution. if the cops or the govt. find some sort of "cure" for crime, men evolve to get around it. there will never be a 100% eradication of crime...
it's impossible.
men need, therefore we do what we have to get what we need or what we can.
we are the all singing all dancing scum of the earth.

disagree they are completely two different topics.
one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter
examples are iraq, afganistan and palestine
a form of war towards american or imperialist foreign policies
crime on the other hand is a social deviation and works at the individual level.

Agree.
The only way to expel crime and acts of terror is to take humans out of the equation.

I agree. It's been proven over centuries of history. Humans are violent, and there's no way to change that.

I agree.. the only way to stop both would be something along the lines of implanting chips in everyone and have a main frame to control them... or something?!
