The more I read about our system the more I am convinced that we are already a totalitarian state. What do you think?

The United States is not under a totalitarian regime YET. However, I must say that if people don't get off their butts and do something pretty darn soon, it could very well become one. And if it does...we can be prepared for horrors the likes of which have never been seen on Earth.

Where have you been? We have been on that slippery slope since mien fuhrer ReaGUN took the oath of office. That was 27 years ago, and it's going to take us another 27 to get out of this mess. The similarities between the US today, and Nazi Germany in the 1930's is phenomenal. Don't you ever watch History channel? Check it out.

The fact that you're allowed to make that statement without fear of punishment proves the statement itself to be wrong.
I'd recommend you read 1984 and then take another look at your opinion.

If Hillary gets elected, bet on it.
Otherwise, no, we're not. Tell me one instance where you've been abused. Where your constitutional rights have been denied.
Then, try getting out more. Travel. Really see how other folks live, even in other democratic countries. America is the most free nation on the face of the earth.

We are certainly more and more in danger of it happening, as people abandon their personal responsibilities and expect the state to take care of them.
The state should never be given such power.
