I did see the story about this in Texas.
Most American stores won't take Canadian money. American stores need to deal in American legal tender, the dollar. That's all. There are enough places people can get their money changed that it should not be a problem to expect people to be able to pay with dollars.

What does this have to do with anything?
There are plenty of stores near the Canadian border that accept Canadian $. It's simply good business.
It's always a good business practice to make it easier for people to purchase your goods.
If a business near the Mexican border decides it makes sense to accept pesos, that's their business and it has no relation to anything else. Who are you to interfere?
Your complaint is without merit.

I haven't heard of this happening. I agree that this is getting out of control. There needs to be a stop to all this non-sense. Paying with pesos isn't an option. They want to pay with pesos, go to Mexico. They'll find plenty of places that will be more than happy to take them.

welll where i live we can accept some canadian money, and if a business really doesnt want to accept it they dont have to, in other countries for the most part tehy accept american dollars, so i dont see the problem
