Okay so you have 12 juriors right. Lets say the man you are defending is innocent. When picking the jury are you going to allow the prosecutor to pick a man that is an officer and a man that is a firefighter of the same city that the accusers father works as a firefighter for? Knowing that he has close relation to police and other fireman in the city? Could this be considered conflict of interest or even "Error in jury selection" if you as your clients attorney allow this to happen? I don't understand why my friends attorney did not disclose this information or why he did not disagree with the selection made knowing the father of the accuser was friends and framiliar with the police and other firemen. What do we do now...can we do anything to get a retrial (appeal and PDR was denied). Thanks

After reading a question about abortion earlier, I thought about a few things. I'm interested in hearing other's opinions...

Is abortion ever acceptable? What about if it's in the following situations?

1) The women conceived during a rape?
2) Carrying a baby would endanger the mother's life?
--What if she's already a mom of others, and has, say, cancer that needs to be treated when she finds out she's pg?

Any thoughts?

My ex and I have been divorced for just about a year now. He ows me a small amount of money for the house we owned together. About $3000. He has not made an attempt to pay any part of this to me in the last year. I have mentioned it to him several times. He keeps telling me that he can't come up with the money. I even told him I would be willing to take payments. Being it is such a small amount I would rather not get my lawyer involved again because his fees will probably take up a large portion of the money. It is in our divorce papers that he owes this to me. How do I go about getting this from him? He does have a house, motorcycle, and several vehicles that he could sell or take a loan against.

At least the judge actually had some common sense. If she were my neighbor, I would make her life a living hell and call the ASPCA everytime she left her five dogs unattended and they made even the slightest peep.

Has she nothing else to do than complain about kids, outside no less, not sitting in front of a TV, but outdoors, having fun?

"The phone rang in the District of Columbia's busy 911 emergency hot line center as it does hundreds, sometimes thousands, of times a day. A burglary was in progress at a private home. The police department employee who handled this particular call assured the caller assistance wa on its way. But instead of getting the high-priority code a crime in progress is supposed to get, the dispatcher assigned a lower priority to the call. When police officers finally arrived at the scene of the burglary, they failed to make a thorough check of the building and left without discovering the two burglars, who by this time had raped a four-year-old girl adn forced her mother to commit sodomy. The victims' neighbors, two women who lived upstairs, made a second 911 call again receiving assurance that help was on the way. No help ever arrived. For the next fourteen hours, the intruders held all the occupants of the building captive, including the two women who lived upstairs,They were all rapeThey were all raped, robbed, beaten, and subjected to numerous sexual attacks.
So, you think the government will protect you, without you having guns. THEY WON’T. You’re not taking my guns till you pry them from my cold, dead, fingers.

My childs father has a child support order he does not pay, ever, The baby is now 3 and he lives about 1500 miles away. He told me he is going to go to court and term his own rights so he doesn't have to pay because, "he can't afford it" He has other kids and takes care of them. He said he can tell the judge that he abandoned her?? Can he just walk if he feels like it? I can't imagine he can if that was the case wouldn't every father who owed money do it??
I'm so angry it's not funny right now because it's bad enough the order is for 178 a month, which is just stupid but then he wants to tell me he just can't and has to take care of his family. WTF???!!?? She is his famliy too!!!!! Sorry, I'm mad : )

I am divorced and the child are 11 & 7. They were to leave the river house hours ago. They left way too late and now they have 3 hours to go through the desert towing the water ski boat. Do I have any legal grounds to not allow this to happen again? Our paperwork reads that I must have all the info before he leaves. He was returning Thursday afternoon from the river. Which I agreed upon. Now it looks like it will be Friday morning. Is there anything I can do. I am tried of planning his games.

With all of the nigerian scammers and other release of 3rd party information to internet criminals, is this website ( http://www.suwanneesheriff.com/ ) even legal under Code 431.322.12 of the Internet Privacy Act signed by Bill Clinton in 1995? It shows pictures addresses and more information about inmates and previous inmates that have been booked at the Suwannee Valley Sheriff's department. I see how it would be beneficial to expose information about felons and pedophiles like the FBI website does, but is it really fair that there is public information about people who drove while their license was suspended displayed on a website? Who would want to live in Suwannee County (or Live Oak) knowing that their information would be put on this website for internet criminals to obtain?Another indication that this website might not even be legal under the Constitution is by the spelling errors contained in it.Look at http://www.suwanneesheriff.com/Inmates.aspx?BookingNum=070001185 BRUGLARY?
