Yes, because for some people it's easier than having a rational argument. Just like the poster who assumes your a racist because of the Stars and Bars in your profile. Not bothering to realize that the War between the States was about a lot more than slavery(mainly states rights) or that very few Southerners were slave holders. Ignorance of the past condemns people to make judgments on flawed assumptions.

Do things so that even the most mentally challenged person could see that you are not a racist. For instance, date someone from a different race and take lots of pictures. Also, why not help out a race, fundraiser, etc that is for a good cause. Make sure to take lots of pictures. Hey, why not go hang out with some different people and take lots of pictures. Basically, do something not racist and get proof of it. I would NOT suggest adopting a baby from Africa. Leave that up to the rich celebrities.

yea i was and my response was "ok, well, i am not" and then i gave them the reason why i am not racist. This happened when people usually misunderstood me in some way. In order to recourse just state to people the truth and explain everything as it is.

Seems to me that we've become a society of name calling and short tempers jumping at the chance to file lawsuits for trivial nonsense.
Unless the accusations against you involve a loss of income...do nothing but ignore the comment and move on with more important issues!

EVERYONE is a racist to some degree. Those who do not recognize that trait in themselves have not taken stock lately. the difference is that some come to terms with their faults and deal correctly with them and others let their mouth provide proof of their faults.
As I tell my daughters "there was only one perfect human on this earth and unless you see a crown of thorns on my head, I'm not him".

Talk to the person or shoot him or her an email. This happened to me earlier this year. It was all a big misunderstanding and now he and I are good friends.
