Years ago I worked for a man having this problem. One night he got in the Basement (This where stuff was stored and they break in at). He have a .410 pump shotgun loaded with bird shot. Sure enough they came back. He started shooting and yelling I going to kill you. The poor guy was tripping over stuff and went over the 6 foot fence outside. His leather glove getting caught in the Barbed Wire on top. That leather glove stood testimony for all to see for over 15 years when the property was sold and everything torn down.
There was never another thing stolen from his business.

leaving someone behind in the business is an option to catch them, but a risky one at that as it could get physical. I am hoping the concept of video surveilance has come to mind??
