Isn't it a law that you have 3 days to cancel an order? I placed an order for a book on TV two hours ago and got hit by buyer's remorse and have just been rudely told I cannot cancel my order.

Guns help the helpless to defend themselves. But they help criminals and potential criminals more than anyone else today. Its not the 1850s Wild West anymore, when guns were necessary. Guns are creating an uncivilized society in America. God, "Guns" and Guts helped create America, so some idiot wrote. What a principle for a great nation to be founded on - Guns! .... Pleasure shooting too, needs to be banned outrightly, because that is the idle rich fellow's pursuit. .... But then of course, who will take care of the filthy rich gun manufacturers who lobby as hard as they can in Washington to make sure that there never will be any gun control in America? What do they care if honest Americans in Troy, Michigan are killed because somebody lost his accounting job? What do they care if American schoolchildren are killed in Pennslvania by some maniac? All that those selfish manufacturers care about is maintaining their lifestyle, and not even death can come in the way of that.

Can anyone please advise how should one (donor) revoked a power of attorney?

30 years ago before I went to study overseas, I was told by my sister, a lawyer, to sign a power of attorney, empowering my brother to handle my affairs in my absence. Upon my returned, I have asked for the return of the power of attorney. However, I was informed by her that it has been lost. I now feel insecure because I wasn't given a copy of the power of attorney and I do not remember clearly what I have signed. If I remember correctly, the power of attorney was phrased like a durable power of attorney.

I wish to revoked that power of attorney. Can anyone please advise how should I do it.

I was shocked to hear that because of dangers to the enviroment people in Africa will only be able to use solar panels or wind turbines to generate electricity.....This basically means some of the poorest people in the world will be forced to use the most expensive and ineffective means of producing electricity. (It really means Africa won't have electricity)

How can we justify this when we already use methods involving fossil fuels in the west? (And if I'm not mistaken there is oil and coal in Africa).

I was setup last night at a gas station, two guys approached me and asked me to buy them some beer and I made the mistake of saying yes. When I came out I told them to go around the building I would give it to them there. When I gave it to them I was stormed upon by local police and issued a citation for purhasing alcohol for a minor. It says a mistermeaner and I have to go to the superior court. I live in Sonoma County which is in N. California. I just want to know what do you think will happen? A fine, probation, community service? I dont know as this is my first offense ever, i have absolutely no priors.

And on another note I just wanted to say that I feel cheated by our government, I know what I did was wrong but come on there's rapist, murders, terrorists, and all sorts of bad people at there but there setting up stings to bust people for buying alcohol, I mean come on give me a break. Spend those tax dollars a little better then that.

I am just trying to figure out why the flags are still at half staff, we had a solider buried last week, but it literally seems that on any given day, the flag is at half-staff. What gives? Is it because of the war?
Thanks!

My girlfriend's dad is always treating her like ****, blaming her for his divorce. So one day, after a particularly brutal tongue lashing, she ran away. She was gone 2-3 days, and when she came back her father called the police on her and they made her go through Anger management.

Is there a way for her to get that off her Record?

Is it just me or is anyone else sick of hearing about criminals in prison complaining about their human rights? They get compensation for slopping out and complain that this is against their human rights, but I dont see them so up in arms about crime being against the victims human rights.

I say punish them properly - no cushy prisons that are getting more like holiday camps!

All right, lets assume you’re the defense attorney and you need to make your defense suspect not guilty. Since the court of law doesn’t say weather your innocent or not.

The driver is 16 and has his driver’s license. The passenger and driver have giving an older man they don’t know money to buy them alcohol for the party they are going to. They get this and they nor the police ever see the guy again.

So they pick up a friend named John Doe 15 years old. John goes behind the driver seat in a regular 4 seat, 4-door car. The passenger has the alcohol beverage unopened by his feet. John knows its there and the passenger and driver know he knows its there.

They get pulled over for speeding. Now they get arrested for minor in possession of Alcohol. All 3.

You need to defend this as the defense attorney would.

The accident happened in California.
I was in an accident where I was hit by an oncoming carwhile making a left turn. The other car lanes stopped to let me pass, but as I was turning, the other driver got into the other lane, which wasn't a passing lane to pass by, then hit me. The guy crashed into the front quarter panel and ruined the axel. I'm wondering if the repair shop or my insurance says it's totaled, what do I do next??? Nothing happened to the other car, while my car wasn't even paid for yet... I want the other party to pay me at least what I owe on the car and for lost wages... Do I have a case??? Can I take it to small claims court?

I'm a trucker. Last week I was making a delivery in Vegas, and the warehouse was one you had to back into from the street. After I parked my truck in the center turn lane, and went inside to take them my paperwork, a woman who works at the warehouse, and another trucker said they would help to stop traffic on the street out front while I backed in. Just as I got positioned to back in, I saw the trucker give me the okay from my passenger's side mirror. Then I looked out my window to the woman, on driver's side. Just as I did, I saw a car that was going about 50 MPH (in a 45 zone) lock up his brakes and hit the woman , knocking her into the air and about 30 feet away she landed. Thank God she suffered only moderate injuries, and is expected to make a full recovery. But after she was taken to the hospital, the police did a huge investigation of the accident scene. Telling me I share in the liability because she was out in the street helping me to get backed into the dock. Is this true?
