Isn't it a law that you have 3 days to cancel an order? I placed an order for a book on TV two hours ago and got hit by buyer's remorse and have just been rudely told I cannot cancel my order.

There is no such law.... it up to the terms of sale with the company you do business with as to their return policy.

You could ask your credit card to cancel the payment and refuse delivery of the product.

It is true that you have 72 hours from the point of purchase but they have the right to charge a restocking fee or make you pay for the shipping charges. If they are making you pay for the book your best course of action is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

it depends on your state law on a cooling off period. It all depends on the cost of the item and the amount of time it allows....If the item is not costly....under 100 dollars usually the cooling off period does not apply in most states.

I'm not sure how to do it but I hope you are successful. If you can't get your money back you could always shoot up the main office... that's a joke but then again it's not... ummmm. bye.
