Here's something i am curious about: If a person has no job, no property, no wages and no bank account and the rent at his apt. is late. Can the apt. management sue him? What do they gain from this person if they have nothing? What can a judge demand this person to pay if they have nothing?

I work for a doctor in a small practice. It is just me and him. He is very abusive. Mostly yelling at me in front of patients, saying how stupid his "secretary" is, how fat I am, etc. I have been there for about 3 years now. His past employees have left much earlier. I have tried to talk to him, written him letters, but to no avail. Some of the patients now even argue with him to stop yelling at me but he argues back with them. I do a good job. He has even admitted I am the best employee he has ever had. He has been in business for over 20 years. I can not take the constant emotional stress much longer. I get sick before work, can't sleep, etc. He is only open 20 hours a week, so I do not think I could even get unemployment. He also has gotten to where he says other awful things. He told me the other day business was down, "Go out and sell you >>>". Has also told me I should dress like a hooker. As a single employee do I have any legal rights at all?
Thanks,
Elizabeth

Why are people being locked up for non-violent drug crimes. These people have a disease and the only hope for them is treatment. The annual cost for an inmate to stay in prison is about $25,000. The cost of an inpatient drug treatment center is $9,000. Yet only 40% of our prisons have drug treament programs, when 80% of inmates have a substance abuse problem!!

She is a convicted sex killer
She participated in the rape and mirder of her sister
She participated in the torture and murder of 2 school girls.

Her husband Paul is never getting out

She got 12 years in a deal with the Crown to put Paul away before they figured out how involved she was believing I think that a woman couldn't have done this .

The police bungled the investigation - Several forces failed to cooperate at all over it and numerous mistakes were made (kind of makes me wish we had a US style of the FBI takes over in certain cases involving sex crimes)

She got a University degree while in jail ( tax payers)

Now she lives in Quebec with a husband and a child of her own

She claims she has the right to be left alone she served her time and so forth

Does she ?

Just because the Crown screwed up and made a deal does she have the right to be left alone as a "normal" citizen of the country ?

What should I do about this guy?
I came across a guy who was staring me down with this serious look, it was Monday and I mumbled something about him being a fat pig, he said "What?", and I walked over and said "You know not for anything, but why are you looking at me like that?"......

He paused and two little kids ran over to him and he said "I was looking at my kids, get a grip JESUS".

And I was like ok, and then he chimes "And don't stare me down either". And I said "Im not staring you down", then he gave me this pissy look, and I said "Im sorry, ok?", trying to diffuse it, then he turns beat red, runs up to my face screaming, with his finger in my face and pulls out a badge saying "....(I forget), IM A COP, so STOP BEING AN A**HOLE," then I backed up, and apologized, quivering while he was breathing heavy like he wanted to belt me.

First off, I called him out for his chaperone look, but did he have to abuse his authority like that when he wasn't on duty? Any ex-cop or cops friends who respond negatively to me like im some punk will be deleted and ignored.....I was not being a jerk.....I could have just ignored it and went on my way, but you know you can't always be the nice guy all the time...

Why was standing up for myself almost land me in trouble? And why did he have to make a scene like that in front of his little kids? Was he making an example out of me?

This still pisses me off and bugs me and it was 4 months ago......

I have a number of works (songs) i need to copyright protect before making available to all. I have done some research and found a few online copyright services such as: http://www.copyrightservice.co.uk/
my main concern is the fact that anybody can create a website like this and i suppose i don't feel totally safe paying £35 to send somebody my work without a recommendation...
Does anybody know of a proven / decent copyright service i can use which is affordable?

Thanks for your help.

The cashier stated that it was in her rights to refuse to sell energy drinks to children even though the major gas station chain (corp) has no policy on that matter. How wrong was she? I don't usually let my 14 year old daughter drink energy drinks but she was not with me at the time. What would you do in this case? I am interested in all views and opinions.

The media will have a field day. The Duke matters likely to be dropped today.
Sharpton and the gang all over it before anything was proven.....
Black on white.
Now its the Imus matter. Imus and the gang grossly insult a team of Black (and 2 white) team members.
Sharpton and gang all over it =- ah, but nothing had to be proven.
White on Black.
I'm a white female and I have a lot of Black female friends. From the beginning, they told me they "did not believe the girl in the Duke case, but that of course no one would know how they felt, because "Al would take it and run with it no matter what [they] thought".
Now today they are telling me how embarrassed they are; for THEMSELVES AND THE GIRL.

I would offer that everything comes to the forefront sooner or later. But the media will have to make a choice. After the announcement in the Duke case this afternoon, I would further offer that the Imus matter will "fade" away into the sunset.

Your thoughts?
