What's the question, where will the answer be found, how to communicate it to the people that have to decide, what does the client want as a result, what does the other party want as a result, what are the risks involved, who is obligated to do what and for how long, what events can alter those obligations, what are the penalties for not meeting those obligations.....

Information. That's what lawyers need. That's why if you ever lie to your lawyer, you're hurting yourself.
