last month i had a paternity test done with my son and my baby's dad so i can put him on child support. the results came back that he was not the father. yesturday i received another letter from them stating that if my baby's dad is the only possible father i would have to pay 159 dollars for a 2nd DNA test. i have never heard of a 2nd DNA test cause i heard those tests are 100% accurate. Now i have to request another DNA test because i know my baby's dad is the father of my son. I think they screwed up the test so they can get me to pay for it cause it was free the first time. what ya'll think?

I am currently working in a public house that doesn't serve food. It is not a restaurant or hotel, just a pub. 4 out of the 8 people behind the bar are aged 16 and 17. i won't serve them alcohol when they come to the bar on a night out and this makes both them and the landlady quite irrate. the landlady said it's fine that i don't serve them because she will. also they are all paid cash in hand. are they allowed to work there? also are they allowed to drink there? p.s. i'm in yorkshire england.

There is no reason that the Progress that the military is now making in Iraq didn't take place two years ago other than the want of more "war profiteering" time.

I was staying at a 3 star hotel in London and on th second night of my stay the lights went out, It was freezing, no hot water, etc AND the alarms went on 3 times in the middle of the night!!!

I heard some other guest in the morning saying that they should have emergency lights and that he would complain.

If I wanted to complain, who should I complain to? (ie some organization responsible for quality of hotels?!)

Well i wrote a check to a person witha small business that fixes cars. And the check was for 2,500 . Well after the day i got my car my car broke down again and i brung my car to a different shop and they said the other shop charged me for things he didnt fix or change. So i immediatly tranfered my funds from my bank to my other bank account. So then i also tried to cancell the check but it was too late he called and said it bounced and he wants my money but i refuse to pay for something that wasnt done. Now the police call my phone asking whats going on. Am i going to go to Jail for this? My mom says its a civil thing now and he has to take me to small claims court. ( she says she went through the same thing when she had a day care )... anyone know?

I am an international student, with one more semester to go. I need money for next semester. My status only allows me to work on campus, which has a maximum of 20 hrs/week, I need more than that! That's why I want to get an off-campus job. I know this is wrong, but I have no other choice. Anyone know if I use my own SSN to work and pay tax, will anyone trace me down and deport me?

I signed a petition a couple years ago, and I recently found the names and home addresses of myself and the others who signed the petition online, published by a website that opposes the petition. Is there anything I can do to get the website to remove my name? I'm extremely uncomfortable being targeted like that.

Thank you,
Sean

Well, I have an idea for a totally unique idea for a new web service, but it's just an idea at the moment. I want to hire/partner with someone and create this, but I'm afraid since I'm a minor and can't afford to pay big money, someone will pretend to work with me and just get the idea and do it themselves. Is there anything I can do to guard against this like copyright the idea until the website is complete? I found a guy to partner with so I don't have to pay anyone, but I can't tell him enough details for him to start coding until I get this copyrighted.

i have spent 10,000 to prove my innocence, bond, attorney, impound, court costs, and more. Also DHS took our kids and made there mom take assesments, at 200.00 each, plus forced us to be compliat to all their requests for drug tests at our expense. And left us all in trauma, financial crisis ,emotional problems to the oldest child. All this was over false charges that were dropped. Do i get any compensation?

I was bitten by my neighbor's dog. I contacted a injury lawyer, and asked for settlement with their insurance company. Unfortunately, they refused to offer the insurance info.

The lawyer filed a claim against them, hoping they will give out the info. The neighbors claimed since they paid me for my medical bills, the matter is over.

The lawyer decided the case for not feasible for them, asked me to dismiss it and file a small claims case instead.

I filed a small claims case, and they file a counter claim for the legal help and filing fees from the first case with the lawyer, stating it was excessive/unneccessary b/c it did get dismissed.

If I win my small claims case, and they win their case, will the judgements be two seperate judgements, or will my judgement be reduced by the defendants counterclaim? It does seem like two difference issues.

And if it is two judgements, if I pay the judgement immediately, will it be on my credit report? Will it be treated negatively?
