The laws vary from state to state. Some states, as long as the party doing the recording is part of the conversation, that can record. Other states, they can record ANYBODY if the recording happens by accident. Sometimes they have to notify everybody in the conversation.

I'm not sure in other states, but here in Ohio, that's called wire tapping and it's againest the law and most certainly could not be used in a court of law. At least not unless you were told that you were being recored.

yes defenintly so lets say someone murdered someone then they could get your phne number and record the convorsation and listen to it closley for anything suspicious. so basicly, yesthe FBI and CIA can do that.
