No because now we can catch murderers and rapists because of DNA evidence. There are also other advances in the scientific community. These make it easier to catch criminals and if someone thinks they will be caught they will not commit the crime.

Yes by far a lot worse.
There have actually been studies on this. The problem with criminals today that is making crime worse today versus the past is they do not appear to have a conscious.

Yes, I do. It's far more violent. People don't just kill somebody anymore....they have to mutilate the body as well. Much more child molestation and abductions. Alot more "fleeing the scene". Alot more serious violence in the schools. More brazen out in the open crimes as if it's a challenge to try and get them. Tons more ID theft. More violent gangs. Alot more rip offs because so many know many can't afford the money to fight things in the legal system. There's just an air of hate that I've never felt before and I've been around over 50 years. We never had to lock our house. Could ride our bikes and not worry about something happening. Heck kids are being abducted right out of their beds to where you're afraid to leave your window open for some fresh air on a nice spring or fall evening. Child molesters scoping their prey on the internet. Targeting and ripping off elderly people. If you're in a bigger city you just can't trust anyone anymore. People posing as Dr's, lots more underground illegal businesses..........ya...I think it's alot worse.

Worse. There were 406 murders in Philadelphia in 2006.
The cause is poverty, the no.1 reason, that no one is willing
to admit. Check out the cities with the most crime & the
cities with the most poverty - there's no denying the link.
New Orleans is a good example.

Crimes today are worst because of technology. The felons can execute their plans with precision and sometimes getting away with it because of internet, cellphones and other modern equipment.

i dont think so
coz crimes now and before doesnt make any difference
some are solved some are unsolved.....so the worst is the crime itself and not when or where it happened....
