Picture this...you buy a piece of property, have it surveyed, begin to build the house you've been saving money for...for the last 13 years. Your new neighbor comes over, introduces himself, and asked if he could buy a portion of the property? Your not interested. By the way, the property was for sale for 2 years. The SOB then decides he's going to take you to court....he wants to claim your land by Adverse Possession! Now, 2 years later, we both have attorney's, and major fees! If there's a Lawyer out there that can offer some hope....please answer!!!!!! Wondering if I should call the local news, and try to bury this guy?????HELP????

My husband's ex-wife filed for chapter 13, to save her house and payoff other debt. She ended up losing her house so it was taken out of the Chapter 13. Since the debt that was left was mostly credit card debt, she converted to a Chapter 7 (since she already lost her biggest asset - Her house). She never went to the creditor's meeting - so the Chapter 7 was dismissed by the court.

She is asking my husband - what happens now? (we're conserned because some of the debt could include my husband, during the time they were married)

What does the dismissal from the court mean? We have tried to research this on the internet, but can't find any real answers. Except that it will stay on her credit - the same way as if it was discharged. Please help if you have any answers. Thanks

i'm doing international law andd need to know whether a piece of valid prescriptive jurisdiction say prohibiting the causing of harm to a state's nationals anywhere in the world could be enforced by a state which didn't actually pass the legislation. so for instance if the United Kingdom made a law making it illegal for anyone anywhere to injure a British citizen (assuming that the law had a valid basses of prescriptive jurisdiction) could say France enforce this law in her courts, could france prosecute a mexican in franch courts for harming a British citizen in say Germany. if you can answer this question please give me links to reputable sites which can backup what you say with cases, laws etc. best answer goes to person who does this. thanks

This is before being considered for British citizenship. As this will be with the most vunerable eg.children and the elderly. Will they have to be checked by the Criminal records Bureau as do many who have worked in that field for years ? I am not suggesting this is a bad idea only that as to get the enhanced check you have to go back through he whole of your working life including every different address. I would imagine this to be an impossible task.

Many of the clothing optional beaches in the U.S. exist because there isn't a federal law barring nudity.

Does that mean that you can walk around naked on the Mall in DC? Are there other laws that apply?

My Ex2Be is calling my employer to get me fired. She is going to tell them of an old felony (7years ago) and every other personal dirt she can say.

I pay child support for my only daughter that does'nt live with me, and losing my job would hurt her very much.

I sent her an email today saying As of 9 a.m today she should not contact my employer for any reasons. It is now documented.

If I lose my job, can I sue my ex for harassment/slander for my wages + loss of child support for my daughter + damages?
