i was ordered to do community service by the texas court which i have done twice before...?

so i thought i can get two absences, and i know this because i have been twice before. so i didnt go my first week, then i read the rules and it said if i miss the first week my program will be revoked. so i called this morning to see and she said they have already sent my papers back to the court. now i am going to call my lawyer, but i cant get a hold of them. i thik i may have to spend like ten days in jail, it sux, but its not so bad, maybe like a mini vacation. but really i was innocent of the dwi they gave me, and when i went to talk to the judge i wasn't prepared, and just went with whatever the sentence was. then i heard a lawyer say, she could've gotten out of it, and another goes, well thats what she wanted. now i am so upset. i want to cal the judge and ask him if i can just pay for the whole thing, and if i can get another court date... or what. i dont know what to do, and im worried i might be in even more trouble. havent driven a car in about five years cuz cops

How did you get a DWI if you have not driven in 5 years? Get your lawyer to work on this. She can handle it. Don't call the judge. It will only irritate him. And, jail is no minivacation. It is bad any way you look at it.

What you should do is straighten out your life. If you keep doing things that require you to do court ordered community service, then something is not right.

Contact your lawyer, see what they tell you to do.

Stop doing whatever it is that you are doing that keeps putting you in front of a judge in the first place and first and foremost-

OWN UP TO YOUR FAULTS AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS.

the cops don't have anything personal against you, so stop using that as a excuse for your problems. If there wasn't enough evidence to take it to court and get a conviction then you wouldn't have been there.

and just how sad is it when you are not upset at the idea of spending 10 days in jail-you are thinking of it as a mini vacation or something? Hey go commit a bigger crime that you can say really isn't your fault, it's just because of the cops that you are there, and maybe you will be lucky enough to get a extended vacation-wont that be fun?

You haven't driven a car in five years because of yourself not the cops. I would guess that since you've already had Community Service twice that someone must be out to get you. You get plenty of notice before you have to appear before the judge, so if you weren't prepared who's fault is that? You were given the paperwork stating that if you missed the first day of Community Service it would be revoked. Quit playing the victim here and start being a responsible adult.

It seems you are in a lot of trouble. I'm sorry but you have brought this on yourself. I just hope you learn from this. And I hope you don't get into too much trouble but maybe next time you'll think first.

My only advice to you...The jails are full of people that are there because of somebody else. Not their fault their in jail..its always the cops, or judges fault..

Grow up and take responsibilty for your actions. Put the booze down and get a life. If jail to you is a mini-vacation, then God help us all
