There are many foreign students in the US who have graduated from college, got thier masters and would like to work in the US. However, the US requires them to go back to their home countries. Home countries are not ready to accept these individuals due to exposure to the western world and the high pay that they would expect to pay these students. an example is a student from Japan who is studying Non Profit Managment. There are very few non profits in Japan because of the low level of giving. Japan is a for profit nation and therefore the skills this student has will not be favored. The US should try to retain such gifted individuals and let them stay in the country and help build the already existing non-profit sector or social service agencies that are always looking for human service workers.

My wife enrolled in Ballys fitness club about 3 years ago. She called them and cancelled, but no one told her that she had to pay a $50 cancellation fee. After 3 years, we get a letter from a collection agency saying that she owes $1,100.

Ballys never called my wife to tell her that she owed a $50 cancellation fee. They simply waited three years and sold the debt to a collection agency. Is this legal? or should the company exert an effort to collect the debt first before sending it to a collection agency? Any feedback would be appreciated!

Used in my own Bar B Q in Huntington Beach Ca.. This item makes the best smoked ribs and beef brisket by pressure smoking the product and the flavor is unbeatable. I am asking $1,500.00 for this item and to purchase a new one would run approximately $6,500 to $7,000.00.

This will bring health costs within line to provide better health care for the citizens and people with Legal Residence in the United States. Illegal people are bankrupting our health care system.. The government ignores this problem. All you have to do is walk across the border, and receive the best health care for NOTHING.

Can someone answer me this..

Why is it that that it seems Ok for people to be proliforating sexual images that to all rights should be banned (some are). For your fundamentalists, extremists and general whackos to be diseminating their racist / hateful creed to the world. Why it's Ok for babies to be brought and sold on ebay.. But the moment I mention George Bushes war on terror someone comes and gives me a violation notice? Who decides that what I hae to say isn't as valid as the next persons viewpoint? Isn't yahoo an American company? doesn't the 1st amendment garantee freedom of speech? or does that not apply to people from other countries?

Better read and answer this quick because it'll probably get taken off as well..

I mean seriously, why not? i can see not legalizing crack and meth and other drugs like that. The government could make a KILLING of taxing marijuana. so many people smoke in this country, and all across the world. We are one of the few places i have ever been to where they can arrest you for smoking a joint. They dont even look at you funny when you smoke in canada or costa rica, or europe (some places). I just cant think of any real reason not to legalize and/or decriminalize it. please, i would love to see the reasons people have not to.

ok i requested a discovery because i got a ticket and the officer said he was pacing me and that i was going 88mph but only wrote 80mph and said if i contested the violation "i will testify you were driving 88mph" so to me that sounds like intimidation. So anyways i decided to contest it since i really wasnt speeding and how can he rely on his speedometer and how can i be sure he didnt speed up to catch me and use that speed? anyways i requested the calibration of the patrol vehicle along with other relevant items and it turns out they dont have any calibration records for the patrol unit becuase it supposedly "new" so my question is what should i request as discoery because i doubt it is new . And even if it was new and had a couple thousand miles on it it should be calibrated. Ohh and on the letter they sent me it also said that the speedometer was calibrated by the maker of the car... What do you guys think i should ask for it seems a little fishy to me....

I made a deposit in my account yesterday and today when i checked it, it didnt appear in the account details. I went to the bank with my deposit slip and they couldnt find it in their system either. They admitted the mistake because I had the deposit slip but had no explanation why or where the money went. Now it makes me wonder, how many people out there does this happen to that don notice money missing form their accounts?? and what does the bank do when they have money and they have no idea where it came from??
