His town has begun fining him over the size of the flag, very unpatriotic town

Of course he should be able to fly his flag, however, the town is fining him because of the height of the pole, not the size of the flag, plus he failed to obtain a building permit to erect the 80 foot tall pole.

Should he also be able to fly the flag across the expressway or in front of airport runways? What about at the movies, can he sit in the first row with his gigantic american flag?
If the flag isn't obstructing anyone then they should leave him alone.
Bottom Line is this is a publicity stunt.

Of course he should, this is America. Now the town however should pack up and be on the very next flight to Tikrit.
