My father in law has been missing for 6 years and my husband thinks they can still try him on drug charges and convict him even though no one has spoken with him or knows where he is.

My niece has a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend. They recently went to court and had proven that he was not the father of her baby. After court her ex-boyfriend his mother, sister and new girlfriend started calling her names. My niece did not respond because she was alone and didn't want these people to jump on her.

Were their any violations made there at all?

I told her to call the police last week when she was walking to the store and they threw eggs on her but she was too humiliated to do it. The restraining order is good untill June 2007.

Does she need to have proof that these actions occurred?

my child, young adult, was accused of theft, I requested to view the survelliance tape, but was told I cannot. I have searched all over the net, to see if parents have any rights to view the tape, but apparently not. The young "security gaurd" can view it, but not the parents? I would like to see for myself what went on....

I want to add a post-nomial title to my name, just for fun. I've found various sources about the title "Esq.", and they seem to insinuate that only attourneys use it or fully-grown males. What constitutes a fully-grown male? And is there any "useless" or "meaningless" titles that I can add to the end of my name to make myself look more important?

I NEED to know if this should be reported - I sold something on Yahoo auctions, my buyer emailed me and said her account with Paypal was 'frozen' due to recent discrepancy that is being looked into. So, she has another buyer who could pay what he owes her, I can deduct what she owes me and Western Union the rest to her, in the United Kingdom. I agreed. He sent the money through paypal-it's there now-I emailed him to confirm he was ok with this since I am not the one with his product her just paid for. He said he was ok with it. Now I need to send her the rest of the money, but I am wondering what the odds are that this was paid for with a stolen credit card. I did call Paypal and asked them if they could call this guy to confirm the transaction, they will not.

I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I went to renew my driver’s license last week and was told that I couldn't. When I asked why they told me I had an outstanding traffic ticket from 1995 for $66 so the city put a hold on my license. I don't have a problem with the money. But I do have a problem with the age of the ticket. I'm sure I paid it but can't recall. Even if I did pay it I couldn’t possible prove it. There must be a statute of limitation regarding old unpaid fines. If it were 12 months old I could understand but 12 years is ridiculous. I will probably just pay but would like to know if anyone has had or heard of a similar situation. Thanks.

Today, I was served with a court summons for a debt that is 7 years old. I understand that this company is taking it's last chance to get it's money. The thing is, I DO NOT have it. I lost my job 5 months ago and have only been at my new one for 2. I am also trying to pay off some court costs for a different matter so i don't go to jail. I own my car but it is only worth $1,000. The debt is $5,000. Does anyone have any experience with this or any advice for me?

This is my coworkers situation. A man moved to the property adjacent to theirs about 12 years ago on a lake here in Texas and immediately became uncooperative and belligerant. They've owned their property for 25 years and never had problems with neighbors. He moved in and requested they get rid of their dock and boathouse. That was partially in the 5 feet of no man's land between their properties. They declined. He clogged the stream that ran through the boat house so it flooded and became unrecognizable.

He told them they could not use the dock. They consulted with a lawyer who told them it wasn't worth the fight. Now in the past 5 years, he put up a fence that not only encloses the no man's land, but also several feet of their property. They have a lawyer who has sent him letters and their is a land survey at the tax office and they've been paying taxes on the land, but both of them worry. My friend is 50 with health problems and her mother is 85. He's a land surveyor.

My neighbor is a spin-biscuit. We live in a duplex, she above our place.
She shrieks, slams, kicks the floor
--complains to us about the heat being too cold when its set at 25C,
--she thinks we 'turn the heat off on her' if it isn't actually blowing out the vents(we even offered her a portable heater, which she refused),
--she told me not to use the ceiling fan that came in our apt when we moved in,
--she has yelled at our guests and family members when they come to visit!!

What can I do?

I have been documenting everything--can I get a peace order, or file harrassment or something?? This has been going on more than a year!
