This isn't anything that has happened to me. I'm taking a graduate class and need to research court cases dealing with search and seizure in public schools.

New Jersey v. TLO is one which addresses that issue but if you give us more facts- we could probably find one which helps out more. What did they search (you, your car, your locker), why did they search (did they have reason), who searched you(a cop or teacher)????? Most cases you will find will say that a search of kid at school is fine. It is public property, you have no expectation of privacy, and the governmental interest of insuring safety outweighs your individual rights in that situation. However, if there are other facts you are leaving out- it may change the analysis- but they can pretty much do what they want.
