Notary laws vary by state. I would contact the National Notary Association for more information on the laws in your state.

Tell us what state you live in but I did it in Florida- I went online and did the whole thing there. I paid like $30. It took me a few hours to read over the materials and then take the quiz online. It really isn't hard at all. You don't need a reason- you just apply. It usually goes through the Attorney General's office of whatever state you are applying. They will send you the little stamper thing in the mail and that's it. Really simple.

What state are you trying to become one in? If it's in California, I can help. I became one in CA about a year ago. Not too difficult but there's just a lot of little steps to becoming one.

It depends on the state, each state has their own laws and regulations governing that. In Missouri, it's a form and $25. That's it. In NY, it's a little more complicated.

If you need to be your employer should be able to take care of you.

You need to:

*have a reason to have one
*take a class
*pass a test
*pay a big fee
