In this case, there is no doubt about the murderers because they confessed. However, soon after they were charged the US Supreme Court ruled against juveniles getting the death penalty. I am curious what the general public feels/thinks. One of my very close family members was ruthlessly murdered by 2 teenage boys. This was after the same boys beat an elderly man to death in a neighboring county. Thanks for any input!

a while. In the middle of it he keeled over stone cold dead. Since I knew he lived alone I went into his house and started rummaging around. I found some things I wanted and some cash that I took back to my house. Then I called 911.
My problem is that one of my other neighbors has seen one of the items in my house. He says that the dead neighbor would have never given that to me like I said he did. He's threatening to go to the cops if I don't split the loot with him.
Should I let him? He doesn't have any proof that the item wasn't given to me by the dead guy. He doesn't actually have any proof that its the dead guy's at all. While its a rare item its hardly one of a kind.
Should my story be that I was given the item by the dead guy or that I bought it on my own?

At around 11:30PM on January 23rd, 2007 as I was typing on my PC the lights began to flicker and my computer began turning on and off. The lights then became extremely bright followed by a booms outside then the lights dimmed so low it looked as if they were about to burn out. The house phone was on began to cut out and made a loud screeching sound and then...silence.

These strange events lasted for nearly 15 minutes when a knock at the front door got my attention. It was a fireman informing me to shut off my computer if I had one because of electrical problems that were occurring in the area. I immediately did so.

It was not until the morning I discovered that my two TV's, all three cordless phones, a microwave, two alarm clocks, my entire computer, VCR/DVD, DVR/Cable Box had all been destroyed due to the massive power surge they endured. After surveying each and every unit I learned that all appliances in every apartment was damaged or destroyed.

Who is to blame for this?

I know of a company that encourages its employees to work around the clock as a means of getting a promotion. The company works employees as hard as they are willing to but will only compensate them 40 hours a week. Some are putting in 80 hour weeks. I understand that is not legal. The culture of the company has got so bad that it almost is an expectation. That if you do not put in your free hours your not company material. LABOR WITHOUT JUST COMPENSATION. The company coerces all its employees to work excessively, but wihout pay beyond 40hours (though many work 80 hour weeks). Again. Illegal? Correct?

i'm pro-choice because i can't figure out any sensible way to ban abortion. banning it in the 70s didn't work because we have a culture that unfortunately would rather abort than bear a child in many cases, even with the option of adoption. i'm not excusing that, but it is the reality. how would you pro-life people handle the ban? would the mother and dr be charged? how would you tell a chemical abortion from a miscarriage? those pills can be ordered online and that happens in the countries where it is illegal. so, any answers?

The money comes out of my check but rarely gets contributed on time. I recently looked online at my account and saw a contribution on jan 19th. Later I found out that the contribution was for the month of november of 06. By law the money is supposed to be in the 401k account 15 business days past the month. Does the employer have access to using employee 401k contributions for business expenses? My coworker was told by the plan administrator that "the money wasn't there" and "they were doing the best they can" to send the contributions. I am only assuming that this is what had happened (to pay expenses) What are the legal rights in this? Whats the point of having money taken out every week when it doesnt even go in when its supposed to. Would I still get charged the monthly fee if I stop contributing?
