Bet you they tax the living piss out of the organization that they allow to have prostitutes (in NV, oh course.) And how do they justify allowing that anyway? I'm not complaining about it I'm just wondering.

Well one reason why prostitution is illegal is b/c generally people do not want prostitutes and all the other criminal elements that follow in their neighborhoods. Would you want pimps, prostitutes, and the johns who use them loitering and collecting on your block or next door? Wise up. Even though there is some merits for legalizing prostitution such as monitoring the health of the men and women involved and taxing each "transaction" like a business, there still are many disadvantages too.
You must keep in mind one thing, not all women who are prostitutes do so by choice. Also you would be amazed at the average age of the girls on the streets. Even if most adults do engage in sex, prostitution does not mean it is always consentual. Often the young girls are paying off debts (such is the case with illegally smuggled immigrants) and/or the girls think they have no other legal options for earning money. Additionally, do you think it is safe for the women and the men to engage in sex with strangers who've slept with an unknown number of clients? Again wise up, just b/c most adults do it doesn't make it right.
Maybe the US is less liberal when it comes to sex than other countries and it shows in how conservative we are towards legalizing prostitution, but this is how it is and probably will remain for sometime. Instead of focusing on why is it illegal, try to remember prostitution is not always a "profession" that brings the best, civil, and law abiding members of society.

first of all, sex is against the will of the bible if you are not married yet.
Its a sacred thing. Your body is the temple of GOD and i think everybody knows that..so you must respect it.
Prostitution is illegal because you are violating the wholeness of a human being. Aside from that it is also the main cause of the encreasing population, unwanted pregnancies, and abortion.
See what are the consequencess and how it ruin the life of the people.
I hope you realize the answer of your questions now.
Chow friend.....=)

I think it is illegal because the goverment does't know how to control it so it can take a piece of the action off of it. I believe when they come up with an idea on how to make the money off of it it will become legal.

I just saw a dating service and to sign up a woman has to send in 5 pictures to prove she's pretty, and a man has to send in a pay stub or w-2 to prove he makes over 200,000, same thing, I think

Prostitution is pften linked to drugs, rape, abuse, gun violence, gang violence, etc. People don't want these things in their neighborhoods. I think it would go down significantly if it was legalized, but it would take a while.
