my case was aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. it was deferred adjudication. what does that mean? does it mean that my record will not show up?

It means that the court is suspending your sentence and you have to comply with the terms of the court supervision. Generally, the charge will be dismissed if you complete the supervision period successfully, but the arrest will still show on your criminal record.
