How can I report a scam to the police?

I found a scam that is VERY convincing and I don't want anyone to end up getting screwed because of it. How can I report it?

Call and tell the police what happened, including as many details as possible...if it's a sales scam call your state's Department of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau.
