How can fathers get their rights as parents re-established in today's society when the judicial system is lopsided in favor of the mother being the custodial parent and joint custody is not give the primary consideration? When will Fathers quit being seen as paychecks and sources for money and given back their rights to also be parents?

the honor system doesnt work, thats been proven. thats also why the state and federal government made such strict child support laws.

THERE IS NO 'FATHERS RIGHTS'
THERE IS NO 'MOTHERS RIGHTS'

THERE IS ONLY THE CHILDS RIGHTS.

all of the laws are for the child(ren). there needs come before ALL of us. all of the laws are for what is in the best interest of the child, if you agree with it or not.

and todays courts calculate BOTH parents incomes, you liar... spreading misinformation.

your just angry because you have to pay for what you created. if you are angry, thank all of the OLD DEADBEAT PARENTS for forcing the government to pass laws. if you know one, or see one, give 'em a good 'ol pat on the back and say "Thanks man".

the Gov are tired of paying for peoples children and they are tired of parents not paying for thier kids.

EVERYONE is tired of deadbeats.

When more men start stepping up and marrying the women they knock up instead of leaving her to deal with the emotional responsibility of raising children. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing all men (and all women are not good mothers, either). However, there is a definite leaning of society to have men walk away and never see their kids again. When THAT changes, perhaps the legal system will too. Start a campaign to have men stand up and be men.

Fathers that fight for their kids often end up getting at least joint custody -- I am the daughter of just such a man. He didn't want to be just a paycheck, he wanted to be a FATHER.

DENNIS,
THERE ARE LEGITIMATE REASONS FOR A MAN AND WOMAN TO DIVORCE, BUT WHEN THERE ARE KIDS THEY MUST BE PROVIDED FOR.
IF, DUE THE DIVORCE DECREE THE FATHER MUST PAYTHE CHILD SUPPORT/ALIMONY, THEN THERE MAY NOT BE A WAY TO RESOLVE THIS.
ANOTHER KEY IS CUSTODY. IN MY OPINION, THE BEST SUITED PARENT SHOULD HAVE CUSTODY. JOINT CUSTODY MAY WORK FOR SOME CASES WHEN THE KIDS ARE OLDER, BUT MOST JUDGES WILL PLACE YOUNGER ONES W/TH MOTHER -- UNLESS SHE'S A CRACKHEAD OR OTHER INCOMPETENT STRUFF.
FATHERS MAY ALSO OBTAIN ADVISE FROM AN ATTORNEY ON A FATHER'S RIGHTS.
