I had taken the car to the garage for repairs. The car was stolen, stripped, stuck in a mud hole and set on fire (presumably to hide the stripping that occurred). A police report was filed. Is the owner or his insurance responsible for reimbursement/replacement of the vehicle? Or am I just out a car with no recourse available to me?

I am in a very interesting predicament. I go to school in North Carolina, where I got a DWI when I was under 21. I was convicted, and the judge gave me normal limited driving privileges. However, since I blew above a .08, the NC DMV came back and said that what the judge gave me was void because I was under 21. Apparently they punish younger people more than older people in NC.

As of now, Florida has my license listed as Valid and there is no DUI on my record that I purchased form a company in Florida (4 months after my conviction in North Carolina).

Is there any way I can attain driving privileges (to school, work) in North Carolina? What are my privileges in Florida at this moment?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Does anyone know what legal moralism is? Do you know of any websites that provide information just on legal moralism itself? I would appreciate anyone who can provide me with better resources and/or information!

This is from CPS. People keep saying don't worry, it's not criminal. But to me, a bad record is a bad record. Right now I have a good chance of getting it dropped, but what upsets me is the people who tell me to don't worry; play along and everything will be all right.

If you deliberately set a pack of dogs on a cat and let them tear it to pieces you would find yourself in court on Animal Cruelty charges.

So why are foxhunters allowed to do the same thing to foxes and get away with it?

Hello, I am doing a report of whether birth control should be a personal choice, or a choice of public domain. I am asking you this question for your opinion, and the reasons why you have that opinion. Basically, I would like you to state your answer and elaborate as to why you chose your answer.
Note: Public Domain: government controlled, to not have a choice; by law.
I would just like to add, that if birth control were to be enforced, it would be for the issue of "overpopulation."
Thank You.

I recieved a W2 form in the mail for a company i have never heard of in Kansas. I live in Colorado and never worked in Kansas or any company out of Kansas.

What do I do?
Is this a goverment issue or somthing?
My credit report looks okay, I don't think my Identity was stolen.
Why would anyone use my social security number to work?
Should I combine the info for taxes with the W2 from my work and this place I never worked?
Is there a special way to combine/file taxes for two W2's?
What happens if I only use the W2 for where I have worked? will I be audited?

Its my first year to do taxes so I need some advice. Thanks.

My own feeling is that for once, I wholeheartedly agree with Blair geeting bolshy! Why deny a child a good home just because some choose to believe gay = sinful? If they want to believe it sinful then fine but why should that unpopular, out of tune belief have a direct effect on a childs welfare and future? What's more annoying is that the Catholic Church get paid by Government to provide childcare services so why should they dictate the terms? Especially as they have such a squeaky clean reputation on the child mistreatment issues themselves, (NOT!).
I happen to believe, as I hope many more do, that Homosexuality is not wrong, not a sin and nor does it need to be discriminated agaisnt, it is normal but different, period. Discriminating agaisnt gay people is every bit as wrong as racial discrimination and we need to tolerate not one ounce of it. What is your take people?

This is more of a philosophical question, but does the morality of your cause play a part if you are a soldier in the process of being shot at?

What I mean is, if two soldiers are trying to kill each other, would the soldier from the more "moral" side be more ethical in doing so? Or do the ethics of the situation disappear when it becomes "my life or yours".

For example, was an American G.I. more ethical than a Nazi conscript in the context of the battle they were fighting? In that moment of "kill or be killed" do geopolitics factor in to their morality, or is each one equally justified in killing the other? Pretend they were both drafted to the cause, do they have equal right to fight even if one side is fighting for a cause that is evil?
