First of all a 4 year old has no idea what he is doing, he only has learned from the others around them. I love animals too and I agree that the people in charge of the 4 year old boy should be punished, but it is not up to us to do gods work. Two wrongs to do not make a right, you should tell authorities... do the right thing, burning someone's house down is way more serious then a 4 year old killing a puppy, I think or actually they both need some serious help mentally. But do the right thing, clear your mind and tell, just watch your back, maybe your house burned next.

Wow, that's some revenge! A whole house for a dead puppy? Your local police department probably allows anonymous tips, and if the arsonist told you, it's likely he told others too. Therefore, if you give an anonymous tip it's possible (but not guaranteed) that you won't be found out. More troubling is the child who killed the puppy. Research has documented that many psychpathic killers began by abusing and killing animals before moving on to humans. That child and his family need alot of help ASAP. Unless, of course, they burned to death in the house fire.

It's your conscious. Only you can decide what to do.

It was horrible the puppy had to die this way. But to burn down a house as revenge....is twisted.
He could have killed a family.
They need help in the mental illness area and I think that you would be doing all of us justice by turning them in. You cannot forget what your were told and your conscience is eating at you to do the right thing.
A four year old beating a puppy to death or a grown person justifying why they should burn down a house. WHo should 'know' better?

Remember to always know your fact from your your rumor.
My dad was a detective, and I studied social psychology and witness tesimony... there can be major mistakes even among those present at the time of an occurence!
Get your facts and facts only straight, and go get the help of police.
And if you cannot get the facts straight, then go to a counselor until you can resolve this.
You are probably best off telling the cops what you know, so you can get the guilt out of your system. Just be sure what you know versus what you assume, so you don't change your story, etc.

If I were you I wouldn't have posted this on the internet but being you have I will suggest you contact the proper authorities and let them know about this. And if you choose not to I wouldnt apply for any jobs which require a polygraph examination because chances are it will come out. The burnt house does not punish the kid but rather the family. Do what you think is right, you have to live with it.

It is so sad that the puppy was beat to death like that, but arson is a very serious offense too. That's a hard spot to be in, and I really feel for you having to make this kind of decision. You should probably report it anonymously. Good luck to you on this.

The Creator took the pain from the puppy. The person who did the killing has something to learn that he WILL learn only with pain over hundreds (thousands possibly) of years. You or I cannot change that--he has already set it in motion. There is something you could do. You could talk to the secret police. Records are kept. Try to prevent that evil from being repeated. Leave the facts in the hands and records of the secret police, quietly.

Do whatever makes you sleep better at night. Two wrongs don't make it right. What the little kid did was fcuked up but so was burning the house down. If I was you, I'd probably tip off authorities anonamously.

I'm sorry, but when someone does that to a defensless animal, they deserve to get shot. As for the house, to wrongs don't make a right. Something else could have been done.
To help you forget? Time, councilors, try to tell someone.

Report them both, the puppy killer and the arsonist. Let the law sort it out. It is not up to an individual to judge another, leave that to God and the courts.
