If you did not pay the child support as ordered by the court, better pay it quick and then stay current on the payments. That is what you do. Then hope the court does not find you in contempt for being late anyway.

show up. don't know about CA laws but they will hold u in contempt if u don't show and will fine u and could hold u in jail till u can come up with some of what u owe. least if u show it lets them know u r willing to resolve this matter and they will prob want a money affidavit to see how much u make and will set up a payoff arrangement. if u r no longer in CA u should be able to call and set things up

Show up in court because if you don't they will issue a warrant for your arrest. Better bring some money to pay on some of what you owe.

If you can afford to hire an attorney, consult with one ASAP. If you cannot afford to hire an attorney, ask to have one appointed when you appear in court. You are entitled to counsel in this case because you can go to jail for it (not that you will, just that you can).
