We were planning on getting married in England (where I have family) and since it is easier to get legally married in both countries we went and did a civil marriage in the states. The bigger formal one was to be in England. It's just possible that we might want to do it in California instead. We live in Virginia so can we legally get maried again in another state?

My names Matt, and I am 16 years old. I was adopted by my grandmother when I was about 4 years old. My father was an alcoholic and my mother was really bad into drugs, so therefore my grandmother took me in. I lived in PA for a long time, then about 2 years ago, she moved me down here to Tennessee. I hate this place with a passion. I've been talking to my Dad, and I have decided that I want to move in with him in PA. Well, my grandmother doesn't care for the idea, but she agreed. Then, a few days ago, spazzed out and said no and gave me a huge lecture. I still want to live there, reguardless. So if anyone has any information on where I want to live and who I want to live with, please help. Is there any legal actions to be taken that will help me out? Please, someone help me out, I don't really have anyone to really talk to about all this, so any suggestions or input would be incredible. Thank you.

Toys R Us announced today that they are paying the top 3 in a baby contest that required the parents to be citizens!
Problem is 2 of the top 3 were illegal aliens! They were violating the rules (cheating). Because of public image they paid off!
What are your opinions?
Do you think those that violate the rules should be entitled to win? Do you view Toys R Us differently because they knuckled under?
Will you shop there still or voice you complaint?
Will you enter your 16 Yo in a contest for 8 Yo's then complain when they get disqualified!
Is it time to revamp our justice system, because it is cheper to pay off then to do what is right!

Wonder how many people loose jobs, on account of a arrest record, not conviction. Actually was arrested for something wasn't mine, it was nol prosessed but 30 yrs. later it haunts me still. Can't get a job because of it. Never went to trial. Throwed out. Wrong person, but still on arrest record.

I am a retired state school counselor & teacher. I receive a nice retirement check from my states retirement system (but it is not enought...for me) while I am raising 2 grandchildren now. We gladly took them in about 10 years ago. Before I entered into education I had earned "40" quarters toward my SS contribution like all of us do, except in my state the SS Admin. will not let me receive my SS because I receive income from my teacher retirement. Is this right? Can they do that to me? I am crushed because I have loved my choise of employment all my life in serving my parents and children who were entrusted to me. If they are correct and I "WILL NOT" be paid my due SS can I get my contribution back form the 40 quarters that I did contribute to it? If not, have I been a robbery victim and a slave to the SS system, a slave to "and in" the United States? Would I have "any" chance to win a legal case if I had to persue it...I don't want to do this (time) & the gov. doesn't need the press.

I mean like the Duke lacross players. Someone has to stop this. All a woman has to do is accuse apparently without any evidence.

(NOT THE PEOPLES REAL NAMES)

Ok so my dad is a laywer, and he deals with hundreds of work harrasment cases every year. He has seen many men/women get fired or even face jail time for work style harrasment.

Well my friend [Jim] is being harrased every day by a kid named [Mike.] Mike is constantly aggitating Jim by pushing him around, spitting on him, calling him stupid, and saying things like that he has dandruff which is probably the meanest thing he does... b/c Jim doesn't even have dandruff and students think its some disease like leprsey (so all in all large physical, and emotional pain) ,but the teacher/counselor won't do anything about this!!!

Why is this and how can we stop it?

About a month ago, I was rushed into the ER due to kidney stones, during my stay in ER, the initial blood tests showed I was low on potassium, so this male nurse disconnected my saline and connected the highly concentrated potassium solution directly into the catheter -- this procedure caused me to throw up and faint and undue pain for several hours, because of the nature of the potassium solution.

Now, the normal medical procedure for an infusion of highly concentrated potassium solution (KCl) is to connect it first to the saline (NaCl) in order for it to be diluted and to have my potassium serum levels checked -- none of which happened after the nurse disconnected my saline for the potassium.

I know hospitals are for the most part understaffed but this one wasn't and considering the nature of emergency that landed me in ER, the last thing I needed was extra pain caused by a reckless nurse.

I am sure there are THREE people out here in YA land who witnessed GW Bush violate the right to Habeas Corpus when he signed into law, the Military Commissions Tribunal act.

NOTE, that all the senators and congressmen who supported that traitorous law also committed TREASON. And yes, it might have been legal if the wording of the law had specifically excluded American citizens. Nevertheless, it was treason and our government has committed it.

So, how would THREE of us get started to file the charges of TREASON against our those in our government who BLATANTLY violated the United States Constitution for which they SWORE to serve and protect?

NOTE: DO NOT SAY THEY DID NOT VIOLATE IT. THEY DID. READ THE CONSTITUTION, SPECIFICALLY WHERE IT SPECIFIES THAT Habeas Corpus CANNOT BE MESSED WITH, PERIOD.

The buyer of our home tried to charge us $2,902.38 for removal of some items, dumpster fees, and best of all storage fees @ $35.00 per WEEK, for a old rusty boat trailer . I never recieved a ligitamate bill from this guy just letters stating what we owed him. Can he just charge us what he wants? Can this go on your credit report, or, is the next step small claims court?

My daughter was the captain of the freshman cheerleading squad. During practice one day she was getting injured and walked off (after this continued and was told to just keep practicing) and did use an inappropriate word. She was asked to leave. Since then her peers told her she was removed from the team. No one has spoken to her about this situation and the coaches never returned my emails or phone calls. They were scheduled to go on a trip which I paid for that has now passed. I paid about $400.00. I have spoken to the Assistant Principle who said he could not help me because he doesn't know the details. After a month the Athletic Director finally called me and told me I have no rights as a parent and that it is none of my buiness. This is between my daughter and the coaches. WHAT!! Since when do I not have the right to know. There are many things that took place during the month but we are limited to how many characters we can use.

I've been told that Texas has a law whereby when vehicular brakes fail it is considered an "act of God" and the driver or owner cannot be held for damages. Is this true?

After a few months talking with my solicitor, she is now making an application to court on my behalf. This is for the custody of my son, who lives with both me and my ex at different times of the month. because of the distance, I want to have my son all the time, so he can settle for school age (he's 2)
I'm just wondering what happens now, will i have to be present in court? do i have to say anything? and what can my ex say that could get the court in his favour?
cheers

Now all i want to know is can i return this piece of u know what car. I bought it from a dump buy here pay here place and i pay the dealer directly at the place and i want to know can this affect my credtit because i heard that buy here pay here places dont report u to the credit bureau. Because i have tried to return the car and i dont want my money back but every since i had the car which is only 2 weeks it already broke down on me and will cost 800 dollars to fix. And i want to know what legal actions can i do. Because i feel in some way they are responsible and i can do something to them for selling this car to me. And not to mention the brakes pads on the car was put on backwards and i drive in the car with my son a lot and if those brakes would have gave out i could have killed myself and my son. And when it comes to my son i get mad so those crooks are going to pay for this.
