Environmental and Economic, how about the new industry? With legalised cannabis there would be actual companies manufacturing and distributing it. There would be new jobs in farming and retail for those making and selling it. As a con though, thats more farmland that could be used to better things like, say, food. Legalised cannabis would mean that those illegally growing it at the moment would become endorsed legally, and the so called "dirty money" would become legalised too. They could come into the open and become proper businessmen, paying tax, etc as a businessman should. As another pro, perhaps a social one, cannabis doesn't have tar in like cigarettes, and would less harmful physically. The con of that arguement of course is that it depletes mental ability for a time, and could result in more accidents and people doing stupid things which gets them (and others) hurt.

You are not aggressive when smoking cannabis,
It cuts cigarette smoking down.
Most people who smoke cannabis do not drink.
and as fearslady states if you drove after smoking a spliff you would be driving very slow.
Cannabis smokers are sociable.
Smile a lot and see a humorous side to life.
The Munchies would cure anorexia.
There are more pros for than against cannabis.
I would restrict the age to over 18 only.

Yes, for sure...does this mean I am going to get arrested???LOL...here is my point, I think liquor is much worse than cannabis, weed, whatever, I have never even known anyone who gets in a car and thinks they can drive 100 mph on weed....alcohol...different story...guys don't fight...or girls when they are high...it just isn't fair...and think of the $ this country could save (not putting pot crimes in jail) and make, mass producing a product a lot of people would want....I am a yes, a very big yes on that one...just for the record, am a very concerative republican...

The only damage it supposedly leeds to is schitzophrenia . Leagalize cannabis then less people will smoke tabacco . less cancer related deaths . it also relieves people in pain . and its just a hell of a lot of fun . if you legalize it less people would try it because its not forbidden . teenages only like doing forbidden stuff if you get my drift .

D.U.I related accidents should decrease. Anyone driving under the influence of da ganja will either be too paranoid to drive at all or they will drive so slowly that everyone else will get out of their way. (ha ha)

People get sick from alcohol, but no one seems to get sick from green. It is rediculous that it is not legal.
