Call lawyers in your local phone book. Many lawyers will give you free legal advice. When this happened to me, I got a lawyer that only got paid if I won the case.I ended up suing the person who hit my car.Because the person had no insurance ,this was a two year court battle. In the end,the person ended up having to pay the value of my car, personal injury, and wages that I lost due to missing work. The lawyer took 20% of all the money received and I received checks for the rest of the money.

If the person who hit you was cited, and they have no insurance, you can file a lawsuit against that person in the civil court. However, if they have insurance, file a claim with that insurance company. Also, try to get a job with the school you are attending, in the Study Work Study Program

Someone's car insurance (yours or the other person's in the accident) should cover the damage to your vehicle.

this depend on what state you live in. who was at fault. if the other guy is the cost is his to bear or his insurance, but because you don't have insurance thier insurance will take a long time to settle and may need to be taken to court. i hope for you they don't have triple aaa for insurance.
