The statute of limitations is the period between when the offense occurred and when you were charged. If you've already been charged with DUI, the statute of limitations doesn't matter.

In Arizona, the statute of limitations depends on the level of DUI offense.

For a misdemeanor DUI (regular DUI, extreme DUI, super extreme DUI) the statute of limitations is 1 year.

For a felony DUI (aggravated DUI), the statute of limitations is 7 years.

There are also some stipulations that the prosecutor's office may use but these are the general guidelines for misdemeanor and felony DUI in Arizona.
