My husband and I live in a small town in Washinton State. We are renting an apartment and we have a 2 year old boy. The neighbor downstairs from us has complained that my son is too loud during the day. The landlord says that if we keep being too loud we are going to have to move out. I don't know if it is legal for them to do that since we are not being loud on purpose, my son is just being two. I have my son in bed by 9:00p.m. which I think that is a reasonable time. If anyone know anything about the Washington State Tenant Laws please let me know. And if the landlord can actually kick us out for letting my son be his age.PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Religion has caused more death and hurt in human history than any other aspect of human sociology.

Jews and Muslims kill eachother on a daily basis in Israel. Muslims kill Muslims in the Middle East. Christians killed Muslims during the Crusades. Muslims kill Christians in acts of terrorism. Extreme Christians kill innocent people in abortion clinics. Pro-Christian Adolf Hitler supports the genocide of hundreds of thousands of Jews. Saddam orders the killing of thousands of Kurds. Christian Protestants kill Catholics in Ireland and early United States colonization. Catholic priests molest thousands of innocent children, the Vatican tries to keep it quiet. Muslims supress their women. Bush, the Bible hugging moron, comments that Atheists should not be considered Americans. Bush orders the pre-emptive invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Lawsuit to use Quran for courtroom oaths may proceed

By The Associated Press
01.17.07
RALEIGH, N.C. — A lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union and a Muslim woman over the use of the Quran and other non-Christian texts for courtroom oaths in North Carolina should be allowed to go forward, the state Court of Appeals ruled yesterday.

A three-judge panel voted unanimously to reverse a trial court decision that had dismissed the challenge to state law and policy. Currently, only the Bible can be used by witnesses when swearing or affirming truthful testimony.

What is the general consensus? As a Muslim, should I be subject to greater scrutiny to assure my fellow Americans of their safety, or are my freedoms, protected by the Constitution and Bill of Rights more important to protect?

What should be my reaction, should I comply or defy?

I answered a political question that had been open for several months and was very interested in the responses. Today I check back and find that the question is GONE. (I also found almost 1/2 dozen resolved questions I'd answered listed as "removed", including the question on comma placement in a sentence.) Why the difference and what's going on? Why bother to put so much thoughtful effort into a question only to have it pulled, even after it has been resolved?

Hello:

I bought a Christmas present online over a month ago and the seller provided a tracking number but that package hasn't had any info since mid december. I contacted the shipping company and they said to contact the shipper. I contacted the place I bought it from and they said they would refund if they could not track it, now they are not returning emails, what can I do? I am in CA and they are in PA, I own a rental property in PA, can I use that address to take them to small claims court? Thanks.

My little dog was attacked and killed by two greyhounds owned by a couple who deny that their dogs did it even though they saw it happen. I have myself, my husband, and two other witnesses that saw the whole thing. The vet bills were very expensive because my dog lived for almost a week before passing away. I am finally taking them to court. I am starting to get nervous because I have never been in court before and I'm pretty sure that they are going to deny everything that I say. Are the witnesses enough evidence? Is it smarter to try mediation? Any help would be much appreciated thanks!

Ok so I put my phone up for sale on craigslist.com. Some guy was interested and he e-mailed me and gave me his number. I called the guy the next day and that same day I told him to meet me around my neighborhood. He came and I showed him the phone, which was in perfect condition. He looked and checked the phone all over and he even went through it to see if anything was wrong. Ok, so after checking it he was very satisfied and he paid me for the phone. The next day he e-mails me and says that something is wrong with the phone. But when he looked at the phone at the time of purchase nothing was wrong he loved it. I told him I don't know what's wrong since the phone was a perfectly new phone. He now wants to give me my phone back and he wants me to refund him the money. I told him I can't help him anymore because I can't take a messed up phone when I sold him a perfectly normal one. He know wants to take me to court and sue me for punitive damages. Is this guy able to do this?

I need to get a replacement title for his truck because he is giving the truck to his Dad and the Dad needs to register it in his state, but can't do so without the title. If I fill out the replacement title form and put in all the correct info will I be able to have it notarized if I have the POA?

My patient has colorectal cancer, she has been told that her cancer is benign, and has been found out early, so theres no worry. her daughter, a nurse told her that. (but is malignant, and i'm the nurse in charge of her.)
In an asian context, her daughter claimed that by revealing the diagnosis to her mother, she would "lose hope on living".
Therefor, she has only been notified of a "benign tumor" and has underwent a colorectomy, which was to no avail, and now, is undergoing radiotherapy.

I was the nurse who was asked to be the witness, for the consent of her colorectomy.

Scenario - patient kept in dark about diagnosis, but still undergoes procedures, and signs consent. I am nurse in charge, witnessed consent, and not telling patient diagnosis (breech of patient's right at request of patient's daughter)

I would like to know, "how screwed i am?" in other words, what are the legal, and ethical issues i am bound to given this scenario?

scenario with regards to singapore context.
Thx
